I’m Lisa Novakowski, the person behind the camera at Lisa Novak Photography. I love the great outdoors, hiking, kayaking, camping, cross country skiing, sitting outside in the evening with a good book and a glass of wine (that’s still the great outdoors, right??). I REALLY love photographing people. Portraiture and weddings mostly. It is hugely rewarding for me when the person in front of my camera lets their guard down and gives me a glimpse of their true self while I’m shooting them. That they would trust me enough so let me see them that clearly is humbling and incredible, and it makes my heart happy. I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and knew by the end of that day that I had found what I was meant to do. I love this career so much! I have been photographing weddings ever since, and I've been a full-time photographer in Kamloops since 2009. My downtown studio provides an opportunity to meet with future wedding clients in a quiet and comfortable location. Getting to be part of a wedding day is one of my favourite things... I specialize in documenting all the moments and emotions of the day and mixing in beautiful creative portraits. [Kamloops Wedding Photographer]
Hi! I am a wedding photographer based in Kelowna, in the gorgeous Okanagan Valley of Canada. I've been photographing weddings professionally since 2010. I love learning about people - their personalities, relationships, values, dreams and unique journey - then capturing this in my photography, creating dynamic story telling imagery. I'm always thinking of where that photo will be in 50 years, who it might impact and how the viewer will connect emotionally with my work. I now photograph between 25-30 weddings a year with my husband Andy. Together we are able to accomplish some pretty incredible things, and have poured our hearts into constant growth and the mastery of light. I constantly strive to take my work to the next level, using the highest quality cameras, lenses and strobe lighting to compose beautiful works of art that captivate people's imaginations and senses. As long as I can remember I've been creating, working hard, and dreaming big. I love to construct, creating extraordinary out of the everyday. Most of all I love to connect with individuals, encouraging or inspiring them in some way with every encounter. I bring all these skills to our photography business. They have laid a firm foundation for all that I do as a professional photographer. My photographs have been featured in numerous print and online magazines and blogs. As Jessica and Andy Studios grows I hope to positively impact my community and the lives of my family and others, as a direct byproduct of our work. It is an incredible honor to document each wedding and to produce images that will become my client's most precious heirlooms. As a wife and a mother to 3 beautiful kids, I know how priceless great photos are. They are a valuable investment worth far more than gold. I would love to be your photographer!
