Rio de Janeiro and Petropolis wedding photography by Ana Telma Furtado of Brazil

Hello! I am Ana Telma, a photographer for weddings and families, and I am very happy that you are here on my WPJA member profile, looking to know a little more about me and my work. :) I hope you like! I am a person who loves friends. I defend everyone with all my strength if they need to. I worry and hope for their happiness. I am a bit of a melon head to remember birthdays, phones and other things like that, but they are always in my prayers and, certainly, always in my heart. I LOVE cats and am the mother of two kittens, Bill and Ivanka. They are my loves! I love my family, my safe haven, my certainty of always love and I stick in my life. I have relatives in Rio, Minas, São Paulo and even outside Brazil. I think that's why I always love to travel! I also love to study! In addition to studying a lot of photography, I have already studied Computer Science and Journalism. [Petropolis Wedding Photographer]

Wedding photography article about Client Reviews, Testimonials and Letters - The bride writes her vows in the attic of a historic victorian mansion
Imagine going to the mailbox in the morning. Out from between the utility bills and the nail salon coupons falls a smallish envelope containing a folded handwritten note. On it, it reads: Our day was truly magical because of you and your talents. Whenever we look upon our wedding photos, we are instantly transported back to the moment; laughing and crying all over again. Thank you for such a priceless gift. This is a summary of actual client letters from WPJA members’ weddings. It’s...Read more

With these tools in hand, your guests are guaranteed a chance to relive the day in all its uninhibited glory.Read more
Sideline story photography at the wedding reception showing ladies drinking gin from tea cups
Some wedding photographers may feel the need to include the bride or groom in every picture, but those photos convey only part of the day's record. Most WPJA members will probably tell you that you're not fully documenting the event unless you get out there on the periphery and record the subplots of the wedding day—the unique and intersecting stories of the guests as they enjoy the festivities. We call these types of pictures “sideline shots,” and they are distinct from the standard reaction...Read more
Wedding photography detail of bride and bridesmaids Preparing for the ceremony outside in the wind with their bouquets.
With the snap of a shutter, a camera lens captures a single moment in time; one that can never occur again in the exact same way. At any given wedding, there are an infinite number of these moments that pass us by. Some hold in place longer than others; some come and go in the blink of an eye. It is through such fleeting details that some wedding photojournalists earn their keep. With a professional eye honed through years of visual training and practice, they constantly scan the wedding scene...Read more
Philippe Swiggers, of , is a wedding photographer for Puglia
While wedding party stereotypes still exist, most people realize there’s more to being a bridesmaid than looking beautiful, more to being a groomsman than adding life and excitement to the reception party. But even the bride and groom might not fully understand just how helpful these roles can be, long after the train is bustled and the speeches are given. With a little direction (and not that much effort), members of the wedding party can facilitate great wedding photojournalism —a favor that...Read more
