Beatrice Moricci

I am a dreamer. I believe that everything can be possible. I love watching. I am curious. I look for simplicity. I am seduced by beauty, emotions, good vibes, wonder: these are the four main ingredients that I watch in my life and create in my photographs.

I was born in Tuscany, in the countryside near Florence. My family had a fashion firm and I grew up inside creativity and business. After my studies in foreign languages I wanted to create and plan what my mind suggested to me so I attended the Design University and I degreed with maximum grades. Design was a wonderful field but I was too much impatient to see my works in the market so I decided to make some handcraft design and I had a good business and satisfaction in it. In this period, photography was very important to me. I liked to shoot what I was doing and represent my emotions. I used to attend a lot of photography classes, exhibits and photo clubs.

The turning moment was when I met a big wedding photojournalist, Daniele Vertelli: he saw some of my works and asked to start a collaboration with me. For two years long I have alternated my works in Design with photographing with Vertelli, but in the end photography won. This is the discovery of an art that makes fast the being of one's own life. “Photography is a fast action, the drawing of a meditation” Henri Cartier-Bresson. This is the quote that better tells about my photography. From 4 years on I am a freelance photographer and I am specialize in wedding photojournalism, creative portraits and food photography. I am curious to know what will happen in the future.
