I am a Chicago-based photographer living in the Bucktown neighborhood in Chicago with my husband, and closest friend, Shawn.
When I was thirteen I picked up my mother's camera and started documenting our lives. The one hour photo lab down the street turned into hours and hours in the b&w darkroom in undergrad, then the color darkroom, then a Masters in photography. Today I still find myself in the darkroom every day with my students at New Trier High School. Photography is more than what I do, it is who I am. I teach so that I may pass that passion onto future generations.
I am at home and at ease when I am working with and photographing people; it has always made complete sense to me. I take pride in making my clients feel comfortable during our shoots, even the most camera shy. I have an admiration for beauty, peculiarity, and the everyday stuff of life. I let my intuition lead me and I do not force situations to occur. I allow moments to unfold and adjust myself to the situation.
I am humbled and honored to photograph the memories and milestones in people's lives. I know that I will always do my best to document people as they are, so they will look back on the moments and still feel all the love and warmth that went into creating those memories. ,

Photographer's CommentMoments before my bride stepped out onto the balcony I could see all of the single ladies craning their necks to look up in anticipation of the bouquet toss. In order to accentuate the height she was at I laid down on the floor [secretly hoping I did not get crushed]. The result was amazing; hands stretched out framing the bouquet with my bride's face tucked away at the bottom. Definitely one of those giddy moments for me...I literally squealed when I saw the image. Totally worth getting stepped on in the process...
The bouquet hangs in the air for all posterity as eager hands wait for the lingering tradition to land straight from the bride’s hand. And there she is watching as she does her part to further her story, culture and traditions for all that will follow.

I wanted to send a quick note and thank you for our amazing wedding photos, and also for being so wonderful and accommodating with all of my questions/requests during this process. Both of our families still cannot stop raving about what a pleasure you were to have around on the day of the wedding...you really did put everyone at ease. You were able to capture everything that was important to us (especially all of those little, intimate moments that mean so much), and since there are so many great options, I now have the tough job of deciding which to choose! We will definitely be recommending you to all of our friends in the future.... Thanks again!! ,
