Florent Fauqueux, La Rochelle Wedding Photographer for Charente-Maritime, France

Why am I a photographer? Because I don't know how to sing :) In fact, it's the shortest way I've found to touch people's hearts ... Since the birth of my son in 2010, the portrait fascinates me, the beauty of a face, the harmony of a silhouette ... I marvel at the daily diversity of our bodies and our faces. A few years later, with the arrival of my daughter, this quest for aesthetics has evolved. I understood that an image was nothing without an intention, a laugh, a feeling ... This is how the family has become my greatest source of inspiration. I feel today a deep joy to give you my vision of the small daily happiness, as great moments of life! In short, I found what really matters. [La Rochelle Wedding Photographer]

Marseille wedding photography by Colas Declercq - WPJA of France Bouches-du-Rhone PACA

My name is Colas… like Nicolas, without the « N ». Don’t ask me why it’s just like that! I’m a wedding photographer (as you might have gathered) and above all, I’m curious and passionate about many things. I travel a lot and have lived abroad for many years. These multiple destinations have brought me a lot. Getting to know people, being interested in their culture, their history. Simply sharing and exchanging with them. Escaping, feeling free and being fully aware of these sensations. Enjoying the little things in life, this is what motivates me every day. And all these interactions help me seize the moments that I’ve managed to capture in pictures. Each and every shoot, be it during a wedding, a couple or family session, is fueled with the same passion. Blending creativity and authenticity, I’ll deliver natural and genuine photos of you and your emotions. On a daily basis, you’ll find me in a calm tree-filled district of Marseille, in Provence. I live with my life partner, my greatest support, Liza. And over the last few years, we’ve shared another beautiful adventure together: our daughter Miss K. Why I choose wedding photography? Before talking about wedding photography, let’s talk about photography. You could say it actually came to find me, through obligation, when I was studying History of Art. I needed to carry out a number of reproductions for my research papers and couldn’t bear the old photocopy machine in the archives room which was constantly needing to be fixed. So I bought a digital camera and that was a revelation. I trained by myself whilst pursuing my studies. Then, after meeting influential and helpful people, I was able to progress rapidly. I then joined a regional newspaper team. Everything was going well when one day, a photographer friend of mine asked me to replace her on a wedding shoot. She was ill and had no other solution. It was the beginning of a beautiful adventure, a learning path filled with emotions, an experience that goes on to this day. My Philosophy: Bringing you an exceptional photographic documentary of your wedding is my goal. Being first and foremost a photographic-reporter, my aim is to capture all the key moments during a wedding in a natural and creative way. These emotions will thus be treasured and serve to relive this special day and share it with your friends and family. During a wedding, it is actually the bride and groom that MAKE the photos. The final outcome of my work it intrinsically linked to their state of mine. Which is why I always accompany you discreetly, yet with a smile. It is important that I should know you but also take time to meet you first. Knowing what your wishes are but also what you don’t want, is essential. We need to build a partnership fully based on trust. A wedding is actually a team job. As much as you need ME to capture these moments, I also need YOU to play the game so as to bring out the best of my creativity in the photos. Your expectations must be met. And on your special day, I often become much more than just your wedding photographer. Pressure can be such that sometimes, brides turn to me when they can’t find an answer to a question. They confide in me in this moment of doubt. It is therefore essential that we work together, hand in hand, so I can guarantee you the most beautiful souvenirs of your wedding. So you can simply treasure the magic of your special day. In order to dedicate myself fully to each wedding, I only take a limited number of weddings every year. You all matter immensely to me. And it is essential that I can be there for each bride and groom with the same availability and energy. If my state of mind and work ethos resonates with you, and should you wish to find out more, I’d be delighted to hear from you. I look forward to hearing from you and getting to meet you here under the Provençal blue sky. And if you still have trouble remembering my name, just think of the old children’s song : « Fais dodo Colas mon p’tit frère… » [Marseille Wedding Photographer]

France Wedding Photographer Hong-Phuc Bui, for Bretagne

David Page is a wedding photojournalist now in the Limousin region of France

I am a British born wedding photojournalist now living in the Aquitaine region of France with my wife and young family. A professional photographer since 2002. My original passion in photography was for black and white fine art images and I do still continue to exhibit my fine art work here in France. My work then progressed to portrait photography and I was always drawn to the natural, real image of a person not posed and formal but something that really showed a persons character. My portrait style and client contacts then took me into the world of wedding photography. I just continued taking photographs as I saw the moments unfold on the wedding day. My clients liked the informal and discrete way that I photographed the weddings and the results were well received. I personally took a great deal of pleasure from those first few weddings, what better event for a photographer to capture a wealth of emotions, the spectacle, the excitement, the romance, the fun and the glamour? I love the wedding photography here in France. Every wedding is unique, individual in its character and emotions and it is immensely satisfying for me as a photographer to have the privilege to be a part of the day and to write that special story in images. It is amazing for me to think that the images I take will be there acting as a memory of a truly unique and special day for the Bride and Groom for so many years to come. Paris wedding photography by Charline Eberhardt of France

I discovered photography as a little girl. It has always been a part of our life to be taken in pictures and create memories that last forever. When I was 18, my parents offered my 1st camera of my own. I tried to use it the best I could but didn't really take the time to go further. In 2009, I started to work at Sony, in marketing and discovered the world of photographers that reminded me how much I loved it. I started to ask a lot of questions and got interested in technology & techniques. In 2013, I have decided to quit everything and leave for a round the World trip. 2 years on my own, with my backpack and a camera, to encounter as many people as possible and take pictures to see if I really like it as a job. And guess what? When I came back, I have decided to take the leap and I founded my company in 2016. After not even a year doing this job, I started to shoot weddings and completely fell in love with it. All the emotions, the kind looks, the hugs, the love. I shoot 15 to 22 weddings per year. So in only 3 seasons, I have already shot 50 weddings and I can't wait for the next year to start all over again. Now you know me a little bit more: I'm a travel addict, who loves taking photos and telling beautiful stories of life through my pictures. I want to meet you, to discover you and to capture everything you feel with my camera. I’m completely addicted to smiles, happiness, close-knit families, crazy couples and people who want to enjoy life. For now, I am based in Paris but I travel everywhere for my work, in France but also Worldwide. Take me for my next adventure with you, with a great sound of your favorite music in the ears. My photography business began in 2012 with auction houses. My subjects are very often objects of art, my passion quickly brought me to the living. As a wedding photographer, my deepest wish, but also my duty as a photographer, is to offer you images far from the traditional clichés of the wedding photo. Paris Wedding Photography by Jacques Mateos, of FR

My goal is to keep those small moments, all the emotions that make a wedding and handing it to future generations. I work with a journalistic approach to document weddings with an unobtrusive way on which I add some dedicated moments for creative bridal party and portraits. I bought my first camera with my first wage when I was a student in 1977. From that year on I was fully interested in photojournalism and have especially worked on the most known: Cartier Bresson, Depardon or even Brassai. I had the opportunity to shoot my first wedding in 2006. I shoot also for advertising and fashion, illustration of travel. All these different light conditions or assignments contribute to being able to work in a non planned situation. I am also a writer for a French editor for which I have written (with a co author) 3 books about Canon cameras (1000D, 5D MKII and 5DMKIII). To complete the landscape, I share my passion with one of my 4 daughters. My wife spent a lot of time as a semi pro actress and novel writer, also giving her feelings as a mother, spouse and bride about my work. [Paris Wedding Photographer]

Since my childhood, it was the audiovisual or nothing else! So I had already decided on the direction to take for my professional future. Very stubborn and Breton girl (it does not help the stubborn side ;-)), here I am after my BAC towards film studies. In a Higher School of Audiovisual Realization for 3 years, (E.S.R.A). I wanted to become a camera maker in the world of cinema ... after some contracts for films, TV movies, pubs, music videos, etc ... I realized that this world filled with superfluous was not for me. So I went back to my first and true love ... the IMAGE. Since 2009 I work on my own, and I have this incredible luck, to live from my passion that is the PHOTOGRAPHY. For the personal side, I was rather spoiled by life, extraordinary parents, a literary mother and a scientific dad, who gave me the most beautiful gifts well before my birth ... my SUPER and great big sister. I grew up, and also do my nonsense of children in a small village in the hinterland of Nice, the most beautiful village of all the villages !! (I'm chauvinistic? Yes, a little!) So I said the most beautiful of all: Entrevaux. I grew up in the middle of nature with parents also artisans/traders, which allowed me to develop the exchanges and the contact with the people. I am married to my Apollo and mother of the most fantastic little girl in the world !! [Alpes-Maritimes Wedding Photographer]

Studio portrait of Tours wedding photographer Ivan Franchet of Indre-et-Loire Centre-Val de Loire France

Photographer for 12 years, this incredible profession makes me enter your lives in the most beautiful way. I specialize in wedding reporting, but also in family photography, to tell stories… How do I approach my reports? … A unique credo; Happiness, a great zest sensitivity, and energy to spare! Together we will enjoy it! My wife and my 13-year-old daughters follow me in this universe with a lot of conviction and they know my love for photography. My loved ones describe me as an idealist, a dreamer and I have recently understood that I will remain the same. My pleasure is to share, to give, to make this happiness that people live through my photos. I have no ego, only the desire to provoke emotions and to capture them. Long before when I was a child, my dad, an amateur photographer, taught me the basics of photography. Framing and light were his golden rules. I was fascinated by the magic and the timelessness that a photo offered. Then, cinema became a passion. I abandoned the photo for almost 25 years and during the meeting with the one who would become my wife, it became obvious again, a need to give, to share through my eyes. I only enjoyed taking pictures of people on the street, or these little scenes of life that I lived. I still regret not being as avant-garde or technical as the new generation, but no, I like this feeling of finding myself in touch with the reality of light, its intrinsic beauty and the effort that this requires us to optimize what we see. “I consider myself a storyteller, documenting your life with sensitivity and authenticity.” [Tours Wedding Photographer]

Lyon wedding photography by Castille Alma of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France

As a child, I can see myself leafing through the photo albums of my parents, my grandparents, with this recurring question: “Who’s that?” Then came: “Where was it?” “What were you doing?” … And very often the answer was vague, crowded out, for lack of time, of memory perhaps. This situation was super frustrating for the child I was, I wanted to know the story of this photo, of this moment. Later, but long before it became my job, that I didn’t even know it was a job, I documented, with my Minolta, my vacations and family reunions, the weddings of my cousins … Already as a teenager, I understood that it was more important for me to remember all these shared moments, to tell the story of these moments, more than to have a nice group photo posed. This photo says nothing. Which years after brings us only the memory of the people present that day. To see how much we have changed and by the way that fashion has damn evolved! I wanted to print the memories that I had in my memory. Like my grandmother’s smile when she saw us coming from behind the kitchen window. We were covered in mud and hungry, after a beautiful afternoon playing in the puddles. At those times, my grandmother’s smile was very different from the portraits of her that I found in her photo album. It was during this period that I started painting, to add to the portraits I painted the expressions of my memories. Finally, I studied communication. For a few years, I managed the communication department of a large community until this meeting that would change everything. That of a photographer I had hired to create the visuals for a campaign. I found in his images, his approach, everything that I had been looking for for years. Very quickly, I accompanied him on his wedding reports. It was almost a renaissance for me. I finally found my way. I discovered a job that had obsessed me all my youth, without ever having imagined that it really existed. For two years he taught me photography. The technique, no question of using the fully automatic mode of my new reflex. Understand the light. Manage the composition and wait for the moment. AND ME HERE! WEDDING AND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER IN LYON Today, I have two children, 5 and 11 years old, with “this beautiful encounter” (and yes, it’s not just work that counts). I love to travel, to escape alone for a few days to discover new countries, but especially populations, their lifestyle, their customs … I hate people in such a hurry that they forget the essentials: Living. It is for this reason that I do not limit myself to Lyon to photograph you. To carry out your photo sessions and your wedding reports. You make me travel, I discover new landscapes, different lights and above all great people! [Lyon Wedding Photographer]

Since childhood, I love to immerse myself in the old photographs of my parents and grandparents to travel back in time and imagine their stories and their magical lives. It made me want to capture moments of mine by taking inspiration from the beautiful and sweet nature that surrounds me, my friends, my travels around the world, and my family. Today, I propose to follow you in writing your story, photographing your daily life and your magical moments in a good mood and in a natural and gentle way. I favor the snapshot and shooting "live" rather than too much-posed scenes. I like natural light and play with the rays of the sun. I carry out wedding reports as well as family, maternity and newborn photo sessions in the Quimper region and its surroundings. Feel free to contact me for more information. Mayenne wedding photography by Anne-Sophie Queuin - of Pays de la Loire France

Anne-Sophie aka Our Lives in Pictures since 2011, landed in the world of photography a bit by chance! I am 33 years old, 1 husband, 2 children, 1 cat, and 3 chickens and I am settled in Mayenne (What? You do not know where it is ???? ;-)). Since 2011, I photograph about twenty weddings a year and what I love above all in my work is: - to help and advise you for this day (because "Yes" to have more than a hundred weddings to his credit, it helps!); - to see the Bride and Groom let themselves go to their emotions and immortalize them; - go get the little crazy details that you will not see but you will discover seeing your images for the first time; - photographing crazy things: "throwing" married couples, a flaming dancefloor & excited guests; - dancing in the middle of you with my two cameras and my flashes (yes yes, I do that!); - create strong and incredible images; - the ongoing challenges of reporting; - see, observe and feel the light to shape it in my image; - wait for the moment; - so many other things ... My work has always been inspired by many things that punctuate my life: a sunset light from a window, a moment banal with the family, a landscape at the turn of a walk. .. It is also inspired by: - music: I listen to everything and all the time, just take a look at my account Deezer to see it; - the travels: the light, the landscapes and the colors of each country that I crossed are an infinite source of creation for me; - the photographers themselves: Willy Ronis, Claude Dityvon, Guy Bourdin, Robert Franck ... - art: I devote a cult to Frida Kahlo and her incredible ability to self-portraits, I love the crazy lines of Kandinsky and the infinite and incredible creation of Robert Tatin. - Sport: former top-level sportsman, I'm always addicted to the sport, it's also what has developed my taste for challenge. Working with me is also accepting my rock'n roll and determined side! I love to laugh and humor is part of my everyday life. To work with me is also that, not to take oneself seriously, to feel light and to accept oneself. See you soon maybe! Anne Sophie [Mayenne Wedding Photographer]

Normandy wedding photography by Typhanie Piton of France

It all began in Ireland, where I bought my first camera with my student loan, to photograph the landscapes and my friends gigging in pubs. Back in France, after a year as a journalist in a local newspaper, I decided to keep only the photographic part of my job and start my own business. I've been a wedding photographer since. It was 8 years ago, and I'll do it all over again. Still going to Ireland a lot. It's where I get most of my inspiration, where I believe in myself, where I take the time to breathe, feel and recharge my batteries. I'm also addicted to dancing, especially to West Coast Swing: for it's movement, fluidity and importance of connection. The exact same qualities I'm looking for in photography. San Jose Wedding Photography by Thanh Vo, of California

My name is Thanh and I am the owner of Ineffable Studios. I first fell in love with Hollywood movies and the art of films before transitioning to photography. I believe that's how I develop my style and my approach to wedding photography because I love to tell stories. Since my couples are the story, I want to be able to tell it as genuinely as possible. I want to say that my style is photojournalistic with a touch of ineffable. I don't want to just capture the moment, I want to capture it from a unique perspective. I challenge myself to see and shoot each wedding differently because each wedding is uniquely it's own. The venues and locations can be the same, but each couple is not. I really enjoy being able to document the story of my couples and capture all the emotions throughout the day/s by being in the background. My team tries to work like ninjas so that you can fully enjoy your day. I feel like that's how we able to get everybody to be comfortable enough to show their real emotions because they don't feel our presence. [San Jose Wedding Photographer]

Wayne La likes photographing wedding reportage moments all around United Kingdom, England and London

The more life experience I get, the more I realise the importance of being in the moment. Playing with my children rather than observing them over my laptop; Watching a movie with my wife and just enjoying her company, the easy silence, the film and forgetting the stream of social media updates; Taking the dog out for a walk and just enjoying the walk. As they say, "waking up to smell the roses". My approach to photography is a reflection of who I am: in the moment, spontaneous, observant. I look for shards of interest in the ordinary - maybe a touch of humour, a fleck of irony, a cool reflection. I do that because I'm mindful that I'm here right now and there's always something going on - right now! My other half and I have three children and a dog. I've shot weddings all over the British Isles and USA. I'd love to hear from couples who share my passion for photographic storytelling, who use Pinterest for ideas, not rules; and who place importance in images that reflect who they really are, not what trends tell them to be. Socal award-winning wedding photojournalist - Dennis Viera, from San Diego, CA

Dennis Viera is half of the internationally recognized, award-winning wedding photojournalism team of Viera Photographics. Based in Portugal and Sonoma County, Dennis and his wife Jaime travel worldwide documenting weddings. Their business was born over 10 years ago on the remote South Island of New Zealand, precisely the same time they found out they were expecting their first child, Alex. For Dennis, the photographic journey began in his hometown of Newport, Rhode Island the summer before graduating from high school, when he was awarded a lost camera from a part-time job he'd been working. From there, the passion for documenting life continued to evolve. Rapidly. Dennis began working for his college newspaper while attending the University of San Diego, learned the basics from the photo editor, and soon became his assistant while also managing the ads department and keeping the paper funded. He learned the basics of photojournalism and also how to set up more structured editorial and fashion shoots while processing film and scanning prints. Upon graduation, Dennis chose to forego an easy route to financial security and instead got a job at a small but incredible San Diego camera shop and darkroom. A little over a year passed when he was plucked from behind the counter and hired to run a commercial photography studio while also handling the events side of the business; all the while, continuing to learn by experimentations with all different combinations of cameras, lenses, and formats. This was at a time when digital was revolutionizing commercial photography studios and over his four-year period as manager, he led the transition from an all-film to an all-digital studio. Photography is not and has never been a job for Dennis, it's a deeply rooted part of him. Dennis loves photographing people, life, landscapes, architecture...so, weddings provide him the opportunity to weave together everything he's ever learned or experienced to tell each client's story in a unique way. When Dennis isn't shooting for a client or himself, he can be found hanging out with his son Alex and his wife Jaime, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, buying records, listening to music, baking bread, making wine, traveling Europe and trying to be the best husband/dad/son/human being possible. Samuel Berthelot is most at home when shooting wedding photos in Luxembourg

A few years back, I was already an established landscape photographer when my cousin asked me to photograph her wedding. When I do things, I'm 100% committed. My first move was to read tons of articles about wedding photography and to go through hundreds of images to get a grasp of what to do and what not to do. I was highly influenced by the great Tyler Wirken and his journalistic approach. On top of learning a few tricks from his blog, I also bought the right gear, a 35mm prime lense. The smile on my cousin's face when she saw her photos was so rewarding that I decided to shoot more weddings and soon after it became a full-time job. Over the years, I have developed my ability to be at the right place at the right time, by anticipating every moment of a wedding. This helps me to capture all the emotions going on on the big day. Shooting weddings has had a great influence on my approach to photography and my personal life. I now apply the same principles when I take pictures of my own baby-girls: my wife is so grateful to have souvenirs of these candid family moments. This is why I take so much pride in documenting weddings, because I know how important these moments are for the bride and groom. [Luxembourg Wedding Photographer]

Jersey, UK wedding reportage photographer Andy Le Gresley

When I started out as a professional photographer in 2007, I quickly realised that photography would keep me passionate and happy in my working life, as it was something that could inspire me. Photography isn't just a job for me, it has become more a way of life. I've always thought it to be a great privilege to be asked to photograph someone's wedding day, as it gives me the opportunity to capture such a special day for a couple and all of the people closest to them. I take a photojournalistic approach to my wedding photography, as it allows me to document my client’s day in a natural and discreet way, telling their story as it unfolds. By adopting such a style, I capture genuine moments and real emotion, which become images that my clients will treasure for life. I have been lucky enough to photograph some truly memorable weddings at some fantastic locations in Jersey, the UK and Europe. My style of landscape photography is influenced by my passion for the natural world - I've always been drawn to beautiful landscapes but in particular the coast. Being by the ocean and free to explore is a great form of escapism for me and when this results in capturing an unusual and powerful image that no one will have seen before, it's so much more rewarding. I love being able to share these images with people and am thrilled that my landscape work is now widely sold commercially and as prints in private residences. I’ve built up a broad range of experience in my commercial photography work and my areas of specialism include architectural and interior photography, lifestyle and advertising campaigns, commissioned landscape photography and stock image licensing, food and hospitality, corporate communications and business portraiture. I love to work with my clients on location to produce images that are contemporary, creative and striking and that deliver the right message to help promote their business or product. Rik Pennington is a London based UK wedding reportage photojournalist.

Weddings are about the relationships and moments that happen between people and for a photographer they are the perfect opportunity to create a narrative from what happens throughout the day. With a background in graphic design, I love creating order within my frames from the fast moving events at a wedding, telling the story honestly and creatively. A lot of contemporary wedding photographers cite their influences from the world of documentary or street photography and I'm no different as these genres are generally about the relationships between people, so it translates well into today's wedding photography and what modern couples want. I've been shooting weddings since 2008, and I can honestly say that my enthusiasm grows each year with the challenges ahead. I'm based in London and shoot throughout the UK as well as destination weddings world wide. [London Wedding Photographer]

Essex, England Wedding Reportage Photographer Nishit Parmar, for United Kingdom

I cannot claim that I have been surrounded by cameras my whole life. I haven’t been taking photos from a young age. The truth is that while my dad loved taking pictures of me, it wasn’t something that I really picked up until I got married. My uncle was known as the photographer of the family and my father would tend to ask him for advice. I just never really understood the joy of taking a photo. I just thought a camera was another toy that my dad had! Following my wedding, this all changed. I found photography to be something that I could really explore my inner creativity. As I said in the video, watching people and their interactions is a little thing that I love doing to pass my time. So by combining the creativity and the joy of capturing moments led me to a career in Wedding Photography as an Asian Wedding Photographer. In 2011 our family was rocked by the sudden illness of my father. This was where photography really instilled in me the sense of capturing and recording a moment forever. The moments that my father and I had had together were forever imprinted in my mind and also on paper. This is not a sad story and my father fought and battled his way through the hard times. He and my mother are my inspirations for Wedding Photography. More recently, my wife and I were blessed with a beautiful, bouncy son. He and my wife are my rocks. The little person who keeps me grounded at all times. He is the person who can instantly melt me. And we have some of the most amazing photos of us together! When we meet, ask me to share these pictures with you, I will instantly turn into the proud father with LOTS of photos! In the last few years, I have been lucky enough to photograph a range of different Wedding Ceremonies. From colourful Indian Weddings, fun Sikh Weddings, beautiful Greek Weddings and intimate English Weddings. [Essex Wedding Photographer]

Arjan Barendregt, Zuid Holland wedding photography for Netherlands

Hi there! My name is Arjan Barendregt. When this is written, I am 38 years old, married and father of 1 little boy. I think that my story could be a copy of most of the other wedding photographers: started as a hobby and now a professional photographer. It all started when I was about 12-15 years old. My father forced me to search for a hobby: 'stop wasting your time behind the television!' So that's when I bought my first analog camera: an old Praktica. I high school I followed my first course. This was an extra lesson we could follow besides the normal subjects. I bought books in secondhand markets and the only thing I did was practice, practice, and practice... Taking a lot of photos meant that I also had to develop a lot of pictures. Most of my money was in letting all the photos develop. That's why I started to shoot only slides. I became a member of our local photo club. All of the members were older men, I was the only teenager. So this wasn't a good match. But I learned a lot. Years went by, the new cameras were bought, and I bought my first digital camera. No DSRL, but a Sony which saved the pictures on real floppy disks. Can you imagine?! I bought my first DSRL about 8 years ago and this helped me to develop my own style. The only pictures I made were those of our holidays. I proudly showed them to all our friends and relatives. It didn't take long or my best friend asked me to shoot their wedding. And that's how it all started. I am now a professional wedding photographer, shooting 40-45 weddings a year at home and abroad. The most important thing for me at weddings is trying to become 1 of the guests and not being Mr the Photographer. This is how I want to capture everybody just the way they are and not how the act before my camera. "Photography is about capturing souls, not smiles." [Zuid Holland Wedding Photographer]

Alessandro Pietrosanti, documentary wedding photographer in Essex

A long time ago, when I was just 9 years old, I received my first reflex camera...simply, I fell in love with photography. Obviously, I didn't know anything about photography but I was sure that photography will have taken a big part of my life. I didn't know how or when, but it would have been my future. During my life, I tried many types of photography but no one of them had literally stolen my mind and my heart like wedding photography. I like telling stories and first of all true stories. Reportage photography could be the perfect way to tell stories. After some courses, I thought I was ready to start my career as a wedding photographer. I was really scared at the beginning, many responsibilities in my hands: create people's memories. But the passion and love for photography have helped me every time. Every wedding was a confirm that become a wedding storyteller would have been my future. So, I've started to live different lives through new couples every weekend. Love, laughter and tears during each wedding day, a lot of emotions altogether. I still remember a text message after my first wedding in the UK: "[...] you make me cry [...]" and after 3 years, the bride send me a new message saying: "...thank you again for capturing our day so beautifully". But how I look at wedding photography? Truth, this is my goal. During all day I catch every important moment, sometimes I really have stolen them but never, never I make pressure to the bride or the groom, even during the few poses taken. Everything has to be naturally. Composition, lights, shadows, movements are some of the things in my wedding recipe, there is a secret ingredient as well... Why couple choose me? There is a common phrase: "We like your pictures because there are true smiles...". That's it. [Essex Wedding Photographer]

Lancashire wedding reportage photography by Steven Rooney of England, United Kingdom

I was born in Scotland but have lived in England most of my life, and I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. I trained and worked as a primary school teacher before working in FE and eventually made my way to where I am now, using my camera to pay the bills full time. I live in the North West of England with my wife Sally and our 3 children who are our pride and joy. Sally and I run the business together. Well, Sally runs it, I take the pictures. We pride ourselves in looking after our clients throughout the whole process and exceeding expectations. Sally also runs our sister company Smileomatic Photobooths which won the best wedding special touch (North West) at the 2018 Wedding Industry Awards. I’m passionate about making people happy through my photography. I’ve loved weddings ever since I started shooting them some 12 years ago because each and every wedding I shoot is unique. Not because of the flowers, the table decorations or the venues, but because of the people involved. The characters in a story that has yet to be written. Over the years I’ve come to realise that the images that are most important to people are those which can really rekindle feelings and emotions. And this applies to all photos, not just wedding photography. It’s my own experiences in life up to this point that makes me release the shutter when I do. And why what’s important to you, will also be important to me. [Lancashire Wedding Photographer]

Jaimie Peeters - destination wedding photographer, Netherlands

I'm a so-called "What you see is what you get" kinda guy. Always enthusiastic and eager to find and experience the most beautiful things in life. Ever since I can remember I was drawing on everything I could find. Also making music and dancing was a huge part of my childhood. And even now I tend to spend my days mostly creating something. After having spent more than 10 years traveling the world as an electronic music artist, visiting the furthest corners of the world, it was a logical step that I became a photographer. Translating all these years of collected inspiration into imagery. By now I have been photographing for over another 10 years! The first period of my photographic journey I spent shooting Fashion. It now really helps me to find beauty in everything. Together with my true passion; cinema, I now have a unique style that is a combination of journalistic with the flair of fashion. My work is candid, but I always seem to find a way to make it look like it could land in a fashion magazine. My dream is to make my own feature film someday, but I doubt I will ever want to stop shooting weddings. It's the one time, the one place on earth where literally everybody is beautiful, full of emotion and there is always something happening every second. It's heaven for a photographer like me. WPJA Communiqué: Features
Wedding Photography of Parents - ceremony image showing the handover by the father of the bride to the groom
In the 1950 classic film Father of the Bride , George, played by Spenser Tracy, watches his daughter Annie, played by Elizabeth Taylor, take her wedding vows and says to himself, “I realized at that moment that I was never going to come home again and see Annie at the top of the stairs. Never going to see her again at our breakfast table in her nightgown and socks...Annie was all grown up and leaving us, and something inside began to hurt.” The scene may be fiction, but the emotion behind it is...Read more
The Best Wedding Photojournalism - The bride turns toward her reflection as she tosses her bouquet over her shoulder in this wedding photo.
With the number of wedding photojournalists perpetually on the rise, confusion over what they will and won’t do seems to be increasing at a parallel rate. This article aims to bust the most common wedding photojournalism misconceptions and stereotypes circulating in the marketplace...Read more
Photo of the Bride & Groom with the guests caught in the rain running for cover.
You will be told some traditions — Hindu, Maltese — consider rain a good omen on a wedding day. You will be told a wet knot is harder to untie. You may — correctly — think that if the two of you can face the day's elements with aplomb and grace, you're more likely to face life's challenges with strength and flexibility. The truth is, you can plan for the possibility of rain on your wedding day . (If it's an outdoor wedding and depending on the climate, in...Read more
Denis Gostev, of New York, is a wedding photographer for St. Francis Xavier Church
You can argue that of all the photos on your wedding day, the ones taken during the ceremony are the most meaningful—that’s why you’re there, right? It’s ironic, then, that wedding photojournalists regularly have the most trouble shooting their best work in the churches where these very ceremonies take place. Often times, significant moments unfold in front of camera lenses that are too far away, positioned at awkward angles, and photographers are forced to operate under...Read more
Creative Portraits and wedding photography | Bride & groom portrait walking in front of colorful wall outside
Portraits are part of every wedding, of course, but some photos have the ability to sear themselves into the memory, providing an unforgettable image that rises above the common convention. Wedding photojournalists shooting portraits work within an expanded set of parameters, just like their counterparts in the news world: Some direction and setup is acceptable in order to fully capture subjects in the context of who they are and what they are feeling. Yet everyone approaches wedding portraits...Read more
Sybil Rondeau, of , is a wedding photographer for Domaine des Forges
While you may have picked out a beautiful, rustic church, a serene outdoor setting, and a posh reception hall as ideal backdrops to your wedding photographs, the shots don't stop there. Remember: The wedding photojournalist's mission is to document the entire day. And one of the often overlooked, and maybe under-appreciated settings for photos during your wedding day occurs while the bride, groom and other members of the wedding party are in a car, limo, party bus or other forms of...Read more

Michele & Laura

Hello Fabrizio, the first word that comes to mind is THANK YOU! Thank you for being our photographer! I understood that you would be the right person for our wedding since the first time we chatted at the Christmas Village of Gonzaga and you showed me your photos, explain them with passion and making me identify with the girls on the album! And to think that I had come to the newlyweds area for a chance! When I got home I remember telling Michele that for the "fateful" day the photographer was already chosen. Consider that we did not even have a date in mind ... Then the following of the story you know ... And thanks to your shots will remain in our hearts and in our memory forever! With love, Laura and Michele

Using you guys was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first conversation, we could tell you were friendly, easygoing people who just like to take great pictures and make your clients happy. You took the time getting to know us and our relationship so you could give us exactly what we wanted. On our wedding day you were flexible, fun, and extremely easy to work with; not that we ever had any doubts, but the pictures came out ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. We were thrilled with all the pictures...and happy to have two new friends. We love you and recommend you wholeheartedly!!!

Andrew! Ben and I finally sat down to look through the pictures and they surpassed my every hope by such a long way! You are incredible - thank you so so so so much for capturing such vivid, animated, meaningful and perfect pictures. We’re having Ben’s family round on Monday and then going to my grandma’s house next week for full family screenings so I’m sure I’ll write again then. Thank you, thank you. Massimo & Manuela

Dear Fabrizio. Even as you described Stefania of Villa Cavriani, to advise us various names that had worked in the villa, Massimo and I had understood that you were the right photographer for our wedding .... and we were absolutely wrong !!! In fact, from the first moments that we met you, you immediately created a feeling, which continued on the occasion of your visit to our families, some time before the event and which was decidedly consolidated on June 21 ... the day more nice of our life !!! Thank you for making everything natural, simple and spontaneous and for making really beautiful photos. You managed to capture our most exciting moments ... laughter, tears, dances, hugs ... Thank you for having documented everything, without ever being intrusive and indeed, moving between us with an infinite delicacy. Thank you from our friends and our families, whom you loved so much, for your professionalism and friendliness, but above all thanks to me and Massimo, for being a fundamental part of our marriage. A huge hug Manuela and Massimo

Giovanni e Greta

Hi Fabri! Sometimes I think you will whistle your ears .. we happen to talk about you with great pleasure to friends, relatives and acquaintances! Just the other day a John's aunt came to visit us and there was an opportunity to show her our marvelous wedding album. Yes, she has had the spontaneous reaction they all have: a great emotion! She felt catapulted on that fantastic day, she seemed to be there again! This is solely your merit! To you that you have been able to seize the moment, the spontaneity and the detail; that you have been tireless, available, humble and creative; that you have been able to advise us to the best for the creation of our eternal album! You are a "teacher" as my father says, always present among the guests but never intrusive! Thank you!! We can not do anything but join all our friends and relatives to tell you that the photos of our wedding album thrill us every time, page after page make us relive that day as a story made of only images, from the first to the last moment. We will have a memory forever of all those happy, ridiculous, stolen moments; black and white photos that enhance details, tears and hugs. Greta & Giovanni

Claire and Nicolas

Attilio e Chiara

Hello Fabrizio, I've known you for several years because you've always done the photo shoot for the family company catalog, in a sense you can say that you helped to create what is now an annual "tradition"! When I decided to get married, in a hurry for another, I had no doubt about who to choose as a photographer of the event. When Attilio and I came to define the details of the day in your studio you told us not to worry, that you would follow us and that we would not even notice you. And so it was. You chased us all over Verona in the pouring rain of January, being always present in the most important moments and also in those apparently more insignificant but, with the intervention of time have become precious to reconstruct that important day, like a puzzle. The amazement of my friend Giovanni when he saw me in a wedding dress, the shoe that slips off just as I descend the stairs, caress the dog of our friend Dolores, when I look at those shots come back to mind together with visual memories also moods and sensations. As bride and groom we have not been very good organization but you have also been able to call us to order at the right time to make wonderful portraits of the two of us with natural light and I thank you again because now, one of those photos, stands on the My bedside table and follows me on every journey. Since the wedding is celebrated only once in life and you can not say "I would choose you as a photographer next time", we confirm you now for the fiftieth anniversary! Thanks to your professionalism and above all to your artistic sensibility, today we can relive the 4th of January 2014 every time we browse the album. Chiara

Wedding photography of the bride and groom during a Catholic Ceremony - Jeremy Fiori

Caroline et Benoît

The discovery of our photos was eagerly awaited by all, and yet very fast despite the sorting work he had to provide ... And the result is up to our expectations, even a thousand times higher because more than clichés, these are our emotions reported on glossy paper ... Thank you Jérémy, we will recommend you to our relatives without any hint of hesitation!

I cannot say enough positive things about you. We couldn’t have selected a better photographer. To be honest, we now have a much greater appreciation for photography than we had before. We feel as though our wedding pictures are not just photos from the most extraordinary day, but are individual works of art that feature us as the leading subjects. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to entrust you with this precious job.
