Sheer unbridled emotion is what worked for this image. Simple composition that directed you to the message of the image.
A great moment behind the scenes of the bride and groom exhausted but still holding hands. I love these unexpected moments that go beyond the obvious to the reality of the toll the ceremony can have on a couple. Also, love this sense of intimacy as if the photographer isn’t in the room.
Sometimes, a simple touch is all it takes to make your stress melt away. That seems to be the case here between bride and groom who show us how to live in a moment of unfettered peace. Let the honeymoon begin.
Beautiful window light shines on the joy of the bride as you see the subtle pride in the mom as they hold hands. Black and white adds to the documentary style of the image.
This image has very strong emotion.
We - photographers, photojournalists, visual storytellers or communicators - should remember that our innate and learned skills with our cameras are intended for one purpose - capturing the moment. It takes great skill to recognize those oft-elusive subtleties in their rawest form, where our role is reduced to seeing, embracing and visually marking those grand moments in such a way that they reveal universal truths. In this image, the light, composition and lens choice serve a powerful moment and thus, serve us all.
The loving emotion of the father of the bride brought a smile to my face. The bride not being in focus actually brought more attention to his great smile.
Love the light and glad to see it in color--warm light adds to the ambience.
I had to look at this twice before realizing it wasn't multiple reflections of one man. Nicely done with the symmetry of the lights. The color is great too. Lots of strong images in this category.
A beautiful storm looms as backdrop to a beautiful wedding. It’s the perfect match for a perfect day. But on slightly less romantic note, don’t you just love the way the minister’s gown is filling with the turbulent air of the arriving storm? Let’s all hope together that this isn’t the omens of marriage lurking. Nawww. The scene is far too beautiful to be that - the photographer has seen to it.
Striking colors and composition pull this photo together.
Beautiful, simple, sad. A reminder that kids don't live in the same world as adults: fluffy refinery doesn't make everyone happy all the time. The photographer saw this, and showed us just enough of the surroundings (the dress) without including anything that would distract us from this girl's angst.
Excellent silhouette creates very strong graphic appeal.,
A nice moment with the couple mesmerized by each other, enjoying the thrill of the ride, from an unusual angle.,
Lens selection, framing, expression and depth of field make this photograph a top winner. Great energy in the movement and eye connection make this a beautiful moment. The black and white keeps the focus on their expressions with each other. ,
