East Midlands and Lincolnshire wedding reportage photography by Nicholas Haigh of England, United Kingdom

Hi, I'm Nick originally from Liverpool but now based out of Lincoln where I live with my partner and two young daughters. Photography started as a hobby for me nearly 11 years ago photographing mostly landscapes, cityscapes & architecture. Whilst I was still serving in the Royal Marines I began the journey into weddings by second shooting and then when I had gained enough experience I decided to take the plunge and start my own Wedding Photography business. I love to shoot weddings in a totally candid, documentary-style not only capturing the emotion of the day but also the FUN and lots of it! Although I'm based in Lincolnshire I also shoot weddings throughout the UK. [Lincolnshire Wedding Photographer]

Portrait of England and Northamptonshire wedding photographer Aaron Storry

Hi, I’m Aaron, a creative documentary wedding photographer from Northamptonshire. Often brave but always beautifully legitimate; I’m present and mindful of the fantastic moments of real joy and emotion that happen throughout a wedding. I don’t have any expectations of how your day will unfold, and I am continually working hard to capture the honest and fun that tells each wedding in all its unique glory. Being a photographer was a lifelong dream that I started chasing after buying my first SLR camera back in 2008, having trained as a graphic designer. I’ve never looked back! I know how big a decision it is to hire the right photographer, so here’s a little more about me so you can get to know me better. At the heart of my life is my lovely wife, Lindsay and our beautiful children; Imogen and Noah. I’m forever grateful to have such a warm, loving family, and they are my biggest inspiration. I play the guitar, and I’ve been told that I’m not too bad! I used to own a classic Mini Cooper in Tahiti blue. She was my favourite possession but had to go when I found out we were having our daughter. Today, I drive a sporty little Abarth 500. I’m obsessed with Stanley Kubrick movies, especially 2001: A Space Odyssey. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen it! One day I’m going to live by the coast. Our favourite towns are Hunstanton (I proposed to Lindsay just down the road at Wells-next-the-Sea) and Southwold. I used to skateboard, and I occasionally can still be seen riding about. I’m a latecomer to Indian food, but I can’t eat enough of it now. We’re all beautifully different. Every living soul is unique, relevant, exciting and can do great things. But I think the thing that differentiates my photography from that of my peers is my outlook on how I observe, document and tell the story of a wedding day. When my couples trust and invest with me, in return, I spend time in them. I’m obsessively committed to documenting the unique story of a wedding in its full comprehensive glory. My style isn’t choreographed or repetitive, and I never have a script for how I expect the cards to fall, I just put up a camera, observe and capture tiny moments in time. My style was born and grown from personal experiences, so imitation is impossible, it’s me that makes me different. [Northamptonshire Wedding Photographer]

Mark Wallis shoots documentary and reportage wedding photography in the UK.

I have been taking photographs for most of my life. I have a passion for capturing what is happening around me, with no intervention or interruption, and I love a good wedding. I've been a full-time wedding photographer since 2006 and have been fortunate to attend many hundreds of weddings in every corner, and almost every county, of the UK. My work has been recognised repeatedly by the WPJA and other organisations, and I have one of the largest running totals of award-winning images in the UK. I like to immerse myself in your wedding, there from the preparations until the party is in full swing, and all I ask is that you and your guests forget about the photography and enjoy the day to the fullest. Your reward will be a thorough record of the events and emotions of the whole day. The REAL story of your wedding. Based in Derbyshire with my wife and two kids, I shoot weddings all over the UK and worldwide. [Derbyshire Wedding Photographer]

England and Derbyshire wedding reportage photographer Ashley Davenport

Hi I’m Ash Davenport from Miki Photography, an international award winning Wedding Photographer in Derbyshire but covering the whole of the UK. I specialise in a blend of relaxed and creative portraits and a documentary approach to capturing weddings. So if I were to try and describe my style in three words it would be, LOVE, FUN & STYLE. LOVE – For me that’s what a wedding is primarily about, and what I'm trying to capture the essence of: two people who love each other enough to say that they want to spend the rest of the lives together, surrounded by all the people most important to them. FUN – Whether it be joy, happiness, or laughter I want your images to resonate with real emotions. So relax be yourselves, and just enjoy it – and then allow the pictures to reflect that. Don’t worry I be mostly blending into the day capturing it all as it all unfolds. No fake smiles, no saying cheese and no looking at the camera. Just awesome imagery of people being themselves with real relaxed expressions. STYLE – I always strive to make you both 'look good’ especially in the parts of the day where I get to spend a few moments with you and hopefully produce some pictures you’ll be proud of and happy to show your friends and make them go 'WOW’. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, I’d love to hear from you. [Derbyshire Wedding Photographer]

Northamptonshire wedding reportage by Jordanna Marston, of the UK

Hello I'm Jordanna a creative documentary wedding photographer based in Northamptonshire but merrily covering the whole of the UK, Europe and beyond. I take real pride in my work and I make no apologies for loving it so much. I am a happy, easy going character but sometimes the Italian in me rears its head so don’t be surprised if you catch me with tears in my eyes during the speeches or feeling choked up when I see you in your dress for the first time. Equally you might catch my foot tapping on the dance floor – I enjoy getting swept up by it all and I love capturing the energy in my photos. My approach to a wedding day is very much one of a documentary photographer. I, of course, shoot some family groups and a handful of portraits of the couple but I believe the majority of people connect with my work for my personality packed candids. My ideal clients are creative, fun loving, stylish and laid back. They say knickers to tradition for traditions sake and they definitely do not take themselves too seriously and they often say that, “although the photography is very important to us - we just want to have the most fun day ever.” Suits me! I thrive in seeking out fun and energy on a wedding day and my work is a lot about colour, characters, humour and Britishness. I have been shooting weddings full time for almost five years now and have shot close to 200 weddings. Although I’ve never been one to chase accolades – ultimately it is my couples’ feedback and happiness that fulfils me - I was extremely proud (and thankful) to be named one of the Rangefinder Rising Stars in 2017. It was a totally crazy feeling for me and my little business to be recognised on that sort of renowned, international photography platform...but of course very very nice too! Thought you might want to read a little about me outside of work to soooo...I live in a Victorian house on a nice leafy street with my husband and our son. There is nothing we like doing more together than exploring new places; booking random Airbnbs and getting away as often as we can. Besides from the mum/wife stuff I love chilling with my friends; painting; interior design and architecture; a good coffee table book; plotting projects on Pinterest; having a good, sweaty dance; having a laugh; bright lipsticks; instagramming; travelling; meeting new people and hearing their stories…which I guess is why I am so suited to my job. Being asked by couples to hang out with them and their families on their wedding days to take photos is just a dream come true. It’s also worth knowing that my business is run with an environmentally friendly policy at it’s heart. Most of my work is online; packaging is made from recycled materials and my gorgeous Fine Art albums are sourced locally. Obviously travel in my job is inevitable but I use public transport where possible and I run a modern, fuel efficient car. At home we recycle like mad; grow some of our own veggies; shop local and walk lots. If you like the sound of me and love my work then do get in touch – I would love to hear all about your plans and I’m sure if you go on to book me we’ll have a great time in the process. Leicestershire Wedding Photojournalist Ian Bursill

I was the WPJA's top placed "UK" Wedding Photographer in the 2009 competition and the first ever UK photographer to finish in the top three of the WPJA's International Photographer of the Year competition in that same year. My ethos is to document weddings by simply observing and anticipating moments as they happen throughout the day and to deliver an honest and emotive narrative. This approach enables my couples and their guests to get on and enjoy the wedding without worrying about the photography taking over. Based out of Loughborough, Leicestershire, I'm ideally placed to shoot weddings all over the UK. [Leicestershire Wedding Photographer]

Nottinghamshire wedding photography by Yvonne Lishman, of East Midlands England

I'm a Scot based in Nottinghamshire and I photograph weddings in the UK and internationally. Photographing weddings is freaking fabulous. Since 2006 I've shot tonnes of weddings and picked up a few accolades on the way. Back in the day I trained and worked in the NHS as a medical photographer but wedding photography's much more fun. There's a lot less blood for a start! I've been a primary school teacher and education officer for the RSPCA too. At school, I wanted to be a vet or an opera singer!!! I'm an animal-obsessed, nature-loving, child at heart, a vegan who believes kindness is everything and laughter truly is the best medicine. I have a loud laugh! I have two senses of humour - one silly and childish, the other dark and utterly warped. I believe in ghosts! I also believe that pugs, cats, The UK's Lake District, and Ryan Reynolds all prove the existence of a higher power at work in the universe. I once saw a duck sleeping at the side of a pond, it was dreaming; I’ve wondered ever since what it was dreaming about! You don't happen to know, do you? My couples are down to earth, they are in love with photography and allow me the freedom to photograph their day as it really happened. They often share my love of animals and of being connected to nature. And they love to laugh. Their weddings are all about the music, the food, and the people. They want photos of happy love and of people having a really awesome time. Nothing staged. Just authentic in the moment photography that will always remind them of how incredible it was to get married. How bloody freaking totally epic it felt to be there. And of how much fun everyone had in one day. My couples love life but they don't take it or themselves too seriously. Like me, they are here to live it to the full. Is this you? Because I can't wait to meet you. [Nottinghamshire Wedding Photographer]

Hannah Hall Wedding Photography in England, East Midlands and Northamptonshire

I’m Hannah and I’m a creative wedding photographer who is totally in denial about being 30 something. I’m a mum to two girls, Effy and Lowen who I mostly refer to as Mary Mary and Quite Contrary. A funny old path brought me to Northamptonshire, after a brief spell teacher training in Reading, having previously read Music at university in London. I’m originally from Norfolk, and I really miss the seaside now that I live smack bang in the middle of the country… I think there’s nothing worse than boring wedding photography; my own wedding photographs fall into this category. I love exciting, creative wedding photography and I’m often found lying on the floor, hanging off banisters or hiding in undergrowth when shooting. I’m an awful dancer but I will dance at your wedding and take photographs at the same time. This is included in the cost and is mandatory I’m afraid. [Northamptonshire Wedding Photographer]

Portrait of Nottinghamshire wedding photographer Martin Makowski, of United Kingdom England East Midlands

I have been shooting weddings for 6 years and I cannot imagine doing anything different now. Photography has always been my passion. I first picked up the camera when I was seven. It was my father's old Russian Zenith SLR camera. Since then photography fascinated me and I always wondered how all these great photos have been taken. The light, composition, technique and finally people in pictures. I did not want to just look at photos I wanted to take them. It all seriously started in 2006 when I got myself first digital SLR camera. I started photographing some great British landscapes and displayed my work in local galleries. I then moved into photographing people and finally documenting their big days. I love honest documentary way of photographing weddings with full respect to wedding photojournalism. No posing, staging, directing or interrupting the wedding flow. Just real moments within the wedding story. I live in Nottingham with my wife Gosia and our little boy David. Travelling to photograph weddings across the UK, I provide high quality service in a friendly and relaxed manner. [Nottinghamshire Wedding Photographer]

Derbyshire wedding photographer, Ben Pollard

Always learning, evolving and growing; I’ve been likened to Dr Who for my excited frenetic energy and occasional mild eccentricities… Photography is in my blood and it’s my absolute passion. My father was a photographer and it’s been my career since leaving college (I’m dare not say how long ago that was..!), having collected A Level, BTEC ND, City & Guilds in my subject. I’ve done it all in terms of making pictures, and have worked with a huge range of clients, venues and products all over the world. I’ve worked in various portraiture studios, as a cruise ship photographer and have worked with some of the best Michelin stared chefs in the world photographing dishes and cooking methods for books and magazine publications. I’m also experienced in macro photography having photographed a huge range of jewellery products over the years for a number of clients and I have also worked on construction sites providing imagery to the building industry (including plumbing components next to the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt). This said, my passions are people and personal interactions and these factors are what I think make a great wedding photographer. Wedding photography is a crowded market place but my experience from lots of different backgrounds has made me understand how to get the best images from a wedding day. Whilst this may seem a bit of a brag, I am truly a passionate photographer who loves every second of being behind the camera and I am dedicated to being at the very top of my game. Leicestershire wedding photographer Ed Brown of the UK

Hi there and welcome to Ed Brown Photography - I’ve got my business partner Victoria to thank for my love of photography. While she was working on a professional feature film as a makeup artist supervisor, I took the opportunity to take some photographs, and I was hooked. I have worked in fashion and family photography and gradually worked my way up to running a studio. But I was still hungry for more; I wanted a bigger challenge! I decided that the next step was to start up my own business. I set up Ed Brown Photography in 2008 with my amazing Victoria, and we still have the same aspirations that we started out with – to deliver photographs to our clients that they love. I am an easy-going, a vibrant and friendly guy with a zest for life who loves what I do and it shows in the images I take. Both Victoria and myself have worked with celebrities, actors, sporting professionals, we like most of all to work with lovely people, amazing unique personalities, those who are young at heart! So that is a little overview of Ed Brown Photography, and Victoria and I would like to thank you for stopping by, please do leave some comments on the blog posts as we always love to read what people think of our work. England and Norfolk are wedding locations that are loved by reportage photographer Rob Dodsworth

I live in the beautiful Norfolk Broads with my wife and two children. I have been photographing weddings since 2010. One of the best things in life is a good story and that's what my approach to photography is all about. I get a real buzz capturing those special moments, moments you might not remember or, perhaps, did not get to see. Even moments which, at the time, might have seemed insignificant will take on greater significance as the years roll by. Preferring to capture your day as it happens, I love working with couples who want to relax and enjoy their wedding day and not have to pose for photo after photo. I get my best images when you're just being yourselves - natural light and natural emotions! [Norfolk-UK Wedding Photographer]

Hannah Walker is a UK based wedding reportage photographer serving England and Somerset.

Hey! I'm Hannah. I flipping love taking knock-out photos of happy people. My approach is natural and creative, telling your story in a series of stunning visuals that draw you in to relive those moments. With relaxed and minimal direction, I want you to enjoy your experience – for the laughter and emotions to shine through in your photographs. Casey is my maiden name and being the youngest of 4 (married) daughters Casey Avenue is named in homage to my rather amazing Dad… he inspires me. I love photos and the happiness they bring, I can’t think of anything better to do for my job. I work hard to make sure you can enjoy your pictures for years and years to come. Photography is and always will be very important to me. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by country bumpkin beauty and never short of inspiration for my creativity. You may well notice lots of trees and fields, I adore the textures mother nature has created for me as a canvas. Rusty gates and urban landscapes are also firm favourites. I started night college back in 2011, whilst working full time, studying photography and have literally never looked back! Running my business full time, nestled on the South Somerset border with Devon and Dorset. Capturing weddings across the South West, UK and well anywhere! * I LOVE character properties and mid century modern interiors. * Bold and fun dresses (particularly ones with pockets), * Holey pjs and the fire on. * Beach days, paddle boarding, pistachio ice cream. * Netflix originals, a brand new liquid eyeliner, daft dog videos, cheese (the fromage variety). * Singing really loudly and badly in the car, internet shopping. * Last but no means least, cake and spiced rum.
