10 Documentary Wedding Photographers...
When we ask ourselves “What is the most important moment in my life”, the answer of “my wedding day” is generally early in the list. The trust of a couple in me to photo these moments always excites me. You create the images to stay with you for the next 50-100 years and maybe the images that will pass to your grandchildren. This responsibility brings along the obligation to work hard at wedding day and after and provide wonderful photos to couple. We don’t have the luxury to miss even one single moment. Every month of the day is very precious whether it is important or not. Therefore I always try to shoot memorable portraits for you as well as trying to compose the story of the day. Hello! I am a wedding photographer who lives in Istanbul and Izmir but free to go everywhere in the world for photo shooting. This flexibility to travel stems from also being a travel and documentary photographer I think. I have worked in photography committee of travel, geography and culture magazine Atlas which is published in Turkey and Europe for a long time and I have photographed and written my themes. I was also the photography editor of Skylife magazine for a period of time. I have made editorial shootings for numerous magazines and newspapers. I think these fields that I came to grips with in past enabled me to look at wedding photography from different angles. I try to convey the reflex of story-telling and other disciplines to wedding photography. [Istanbul Wedding Photographer]
After my personal experience as a bride, telling in pictures about this wonderful moment in the life of a couple who believes in love, mutual trust, and complicity has become my personal "mission". So I ventured into this difficult and complex world, but I immediately understood that wedding photography is an artistically vast, complete and always stimulating field. I admit that I love marriages so much because they bring out the best in people, they are rich with various emotions and the surprise is always around the corner. For this reason, above all, I love the authenticity of moments because magic happens just when you are simply yourself, together with the most important people in your life: real moments that come to life in a completely natural way. People who love me think that I'm cheerful, ironic, genuine and sincere. It's vital for me to spend my free time with the people I love, chat with friends about everything and anything until the most unlikely hours; I love the warm colours of nature in autumn and the summer light; my favourite colour is blue in all its shades. I am passionate about films and TV series that, in addition to entertaining and telling beautiful stories, can teach a lot about photography. Even if I don't have a favourite genre, I listen to a lot of music, a passion that is part of me since I can remember. [Trieste Wedding Photographer]
When I was a child, my father, Francesco Armocida, used to bring me to his little dark-room in our home in Brooklyn, where I was born. He was working as an artist and re-toucher for a large advertising agency in New York at the time. He had the great fortune to meet photographers like Avedon and Kertesz, who would shoot and print their photos where he worked. The dark-room was like a rebirth for me. It was a magical feeling to see the images appear slowly. This was my fantastic introduction to photography. We soon moved to Calabria, Italy, where I now live with my wife and children. As a young university student I adored photographing the wonderful aspects of nature. I loved using selective focus and shallow depth of field to create magical atmospheres that reminded me of my father’s paintings. I soon developed a great interest in portrait photography and studied lighting techniques. I took portrait courses and followed many wedding photographers helping them during wedding shootings: then I found out that not only in wedding photography you have to be a good photographer but you really should also have a certain behaviour to achieve a certain kind of photography, the one I was and still seeking for today: capture moments with low photographer ‘interference’. I prefer the documentary style, the one that captures the real, emotional moment. Unlike ‘fixed’ pictures and concocted scenarios, I am aiming to capture genuine life-moments. It is an honour to be part of the WPJA. Not only is it a guideline for B&G, but it is also a tool to help photographers meet couples’ needs. [Reggio Calabria Wedding Photographer]

My name is Krisztian Bozso. I am a wedding photographer and videographer based in Hungary. I started photography in 2010 as a part-time wedding and elopement photographer. I don't use flashes, just natural lights. I love details and emotional moments. Since 2018 I have been making wedding videos. [Budapest Wedding Photographer]

I have always loved the still image. From a young age, I took control of the camera on holidays and family events, and this continued through my teens – earning me the nickname ‘Paparazzi’ among my friends. I have always loved capturing the natural, unposed, unforced moments, when people are at their most comfortable. This candid, reportage style of photography continues in my work; I love to evoke emotion in the viewer and make them look twice at the finished image. I like to work quietly around the fringes of the scene, capturing precious moments without the subject realising. So I spend the majority of shoots in a ghost-like fashion, only making my voice heard for the occasional family composition. I hope to make my shoots as much fun for the client as possible, just giving occasional direction and letting the natural laughter, love, and smiles just happen. Capturing images that stand the test of time. I have been featured in blogs and magazines and look forward to the wedding stories to come in the future! [Surrey Wedding Photographer]
I'm a Croatian photographer living in south Sweden. I have a master's degree in art photography. Besides wedding photography, most of my career has concentrated on lifestyle, fashion, and food photography for magazines and other commercial work for different brands. I have also worked a lot on my artistic career and have had more than 10 solo exhibitions in different galleries and museums. I love wedding photography for its honesty in capturing the emotional moments and events during such an important day. I have been shooting weddings for around ten years now and have a lot of experience with all different kinds of weddings from the intimate ones to the very big ones. I love nature hikes and I love to travel all over the world so no place is too far for me and I'm always looking for an excuse to take the next big or small trip. [Lund Wedding Photographer]

We see a friend in you now, and we want you to know that you are welcome to Norway any time!
Dear Ufuk, you offered us more than a documentation of our wedding. You gave as something that will pass to our descendants and always remind us of what happened that beautiful day. As a family we are really happy to get to know to you, and as a photographer myself really amazed of your passion for art. Always grateful to you. What you do and present goes beyond expectations!
