Hey, I’m Connor Esau—a Calgary-based wedding photographer and filmmaker with a love for real moments, good vibes, and storytelling that feels as authentic as your love story.

My journey started in a pretty unexpected place: a summer camp. I spent two summers capturing video content there, and something about the chaos, joy, and constant movement lit a fire in me. I was hooked on the idea of documenting real life as it unfolded. After that, I picked up my first camera—a Canon Rebel—in 2018, and I haven’t looked back since.

Photography started as a creative experiment, but it quickly turned into something much more meaningful. I realized I wasn’t just taking photos; I was preserving memories, moments, and stories. Since those early days with my Rebel, I’ve upgraded my gear (I now shoot on Sony), evolved my style, and grown a business that has taken me places I never dreamed of.

Over the past 7 years, I’ve shot more than 70 weddings, and each one has reminded me why I love what I do. I specialize in wedding photography and videography with a vintage, moody aesthetic and a documentary approach. That means lots of candid moments, motion blur, soft tones, and storytelling that captures the energy of your day exactly as it felt. I’m all about the unposed, the in-between, and the beautifully imperfect.

While I now focus primarily on photography, my background in video still influences the way I shoot. I’m drawn to movement, light, and emotion—and I always aim to create images that feel alive. That same passion for visual storytelling has also taken me beyond Calgary. Photography has taken me to California several times, chasing golden hour light and desert textures, and I had the unforgettable opportunity to travel to New Zealand with Chris Hau to shoot in one of the most scenic places on Earth.

No matter where I’m shooting, my approach stays the same: I bring calm energy, a sense of fun, and a deep respect for the moments that matter most. I want you to feel comfortable in front of the camera, to enjoy your day without stress, and to walk away with images that truly reflect who you are.
