I’m Kerry, the Tall Long Legged Bird of the story and yes; I’m that sickeningly happy person who loves what they do. Wedding photography is more than a love or a passion, it’s a huge part of who I am and I can’t imagine living a life without it.
I live in Somerset but travel all over the south of England and beyond to be a part of truly amazing weddings. The phrase ‘photography geek’ could have been invented with me in mind and cameras and lenses come with me everywhere whether I’m out with my family (two gorgeous girls, two cheeky beagles) or working at weddings around the UK.
Images tell me stories and true-to-life photos tell tales that will stand the test of time. I collect family photos and could talk you through the plots and subplots behind every one. This addiction to documentary photography is why my wedding images focus on recording what happens as it happens rather than staging shots that weren’t really part of you day. I don’t do tickbox photography and every set of wedding images is unique.
You might like to know that I’m a BA (Hons) Visual Communication graduate, a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association and pro photographer with a portfolio of images that have been used in major ad campaigns, featured in exhibits and are on sale via Getty Images. You might also like to know that I’m inspired by artists such as Sally Mann, Nick Wappington and Henri Cartier Bresson but, if you don’t really care about all of that, you do need to know that I’m Kerry and I’d love to tell the story of your wedding day.
