Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Rhone wedding photography by Coralie Garavel of France

Hi, I'm Coralie Garavel, It's in Lyon, in France where I was born and grew up. In love with the arts and above all with manual work, I immediately knew that I wanted to be an artist. After several years working in the video, I realized some photographs during a wedding of friends in Beaujolais. This day and what has come out has opened my eyes to the happiness that images could create. See their faces light up each photo, between laughter and tears, it became obvious, I'm a wedding photographer since 2015. Since this time I did around 80 weddings, in France and Europe. Every year I do two or three different workshops with some very nice photographer like William Lambelet (POY 2017). Learning to go beyond myself and finding my style is important to me, I need that. I realize every day that passes the happiness that I have to do this exceptional job. A chance to work with you, to let my curiosity wander through your stories. It is often said that curiosity is a bad thing, it is for me the opportunity to know you better to create images that look like you. I do this job out of passion and because I do not see myself doing anything else. I share this passion for travel. Traveling is always a source of inspiration. Thank’s for reading me, maybe the next time we meet will be around the camera. [Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Wedding Photographer]

Lyon wedding photography and elopement coverage by Castille Alma of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France

As a child, I can see myself leafing through the photo albums of my parents, my grandparents, with this recurring question: “Who’s that?” Then came: “Where was it?” “What were you doing?” … And very often the answer was vague, crowded out, for lack of time, of memory perhaps. This situation was super frustrating for the child I was, I wanted to know the story of this photo, of this moment. Later, but long before it became my job, that I didn’t even know it was a job, I documented, with my Minolta, my vacations and family reunions, the weddings of my cousins … Already as a teenager, I understood that it was more important for me to remember all these shared moments, to tell the story of these moments, more than to have a nice group photo posed. This photo says nothing. Which years after brings us only the memory of the people present that day. To see how much we have changed and by the way that fashion has damn evolved! I wanted to print the memories that I had in my memory. Like my grandmother’s smile when she saw us coming from behind the kitchen window. We were covered in mud and hungry, after a beautiful afternoon playing in the puddles. At those times, my grandmother’s smile was very different from the portraits of her that I found in her photo album. It was during this period that I started painting, to add to the portraits I painted the expressions of my memories. Finally, I studied communication. For a few years, I managed the communication department of a large community until this meeting that would change everything. That of a photographer I had hired to create the visuals for a campaign. I found in his images, his approach, everything that I had been looking for for years. Very quickly, I accompanied him on his wedding reports. It was almost a renaissance for me. I finally found my way. I discovered a job that had obsessed me all my youth, without ever having imagined that it really existed. For two years he taught me photography. The technique, no question of using the fully automatic mode of my new reflex. Understand the light. Manage the composition and wait for the moment. AND ME HERE! WEDDING, ELOPEMENT AND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER IN LYON Today, I have two children, 5 and 11 years old, with “this beautiful encounter” (and yes, it’s not just work that counts). I love to travel, to escape alone for a few days to discover new countries, but especially populations, their lifestyle, their customs … I hate people in such a hurry that they forget the essentials: Living. It is for this reason that I do not limit myself to Lyon to photograph you. To carry out your photo sessions and your wedding reports. You make me travel, I discover new landscapes, different lights and above all great people! [Lyon Wedding Photographer]

Drôme wedding photography by Aurelie Lamour of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes - France

Outside of addictive kissing and baking workshops with my daughters. I made the choice to place photography at the center of my daily life, with the annoying habit of capturing under my lens my family that I love so much. Eloise and Adèle, my small primitive beings often lend themselves to the game, thus helping me to perfect my vision of (extra) ordinary everyday life while retaining my qualities of discretion. Need connection with nature and time in love, I spend hours soaking up it during wild hikes during which I try to capture light, a perfume, a universe, with all my senses, this time without a camera. Handball player, between two gourmet breaks, I invest myself in life and like to show it as it is, in its essence, its truth, without detours or artifices. My sensitivity as a professional photographer finds as much meaning and pleasure in doing a family photo shoot or a wedding report as in creating a gourmet environment for a culinary photo shoot or sculpting the light in the studio. All these photographic fields are inspiring and so enriching for me. [Drôme Wedding Photographer]
