Photography and people are Joshua’s two greatest passions. Utterly curious – a nice legacy she got from her grandmother – she loves to meet new people, observe them and capture what they are all about. She is both outgoing and calm so to make everyone feel at ease. Very patient, she has a special radar for shenanigans.
Her goal is to document small but great moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, to capture the moment just as it felt that day. She is a visual storyteller.
Mostly self-taught, she has been a professional photographer for the last 7 years, full time since 2013. She is based in Antwerp, Belgium, and travels in (and sometimes out) Europe for Day in the Life sessions and Weddings. She is at her best when shooting true, unstaged and profound moments and events – in a relaxed atmosphere.
Award Winning Photos
The Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Joshua. The following awards have been earned by Joshua from the WPJA. These achievements come with great merit considering the high level of competition that a member faces in the contests.
This had great reflective body language and a nice moment and because of the two generations represented, it is storytelling. Strong composition and strong content – well done.
The symmetry in this image is all in the gesture. Clasped hands on one side and folded arms on the other side. Nicely seen by the photographer.
Fantastic shot of the scolding side of ‘kids being kids.’ Great body language and I even like his cohort there looking on.
