Are you planning a short-notice, small wedding or elopement?

Many couples don’t want to wait. They are planning to get married in the very near future, eloping, or rushing a small ceremony with their photographer, some close friends, and family but dispensing with or postponing the reception party.

Cinnamon Boutique Hotel, Wilderness, Garden Route, South Africa Elopement Image of the Bride and Groom Walking Out

One of my favorite images of the day was this moment between the bride and her mom who has since passed away.

The couple decided on a very impromptu elopement wedding close to the town where they both grew up and first met many, many years ago. One of the main reasons for the quick wedding was that all their family from abroad coincidentally were in South Africa at the time. The second main reason was that the bride's mom was diagnosed with brain cancer and they wanted to share this beautiful day with her and those dearest to them. As a photographer, I still get tears in my eyes and Goosebumps when I view these precious moments!

The bride making sure to get eye contact with her cheers to avoid superstition. It created a very comical moment. She was just a joy from start to finish and we had so much fun throughout the day. Not once did she complain or did her broad smile fade.

Cinnamon Boutique Hotel, Wilderness, Garden Route, South Africa - this dress was custom made within days! I therefor decided to create a dramatic bridal portrait that feature the dress.

The dress came with a lot of drama as the first dress was a disaster and this dress was custom made within days! I therefor decided to create a dramatic bridal portrait that feature the dress.

The ceremony was emotional, and I loved the moments between the bride and her mom - something I cherish now as her mom passed after the wedding.

Garden Route, South Africa elopement photographer: Just and intimate moment the couple shares as husband and wife. To me these little imperfections makes for perfection.

Wilderness, Garden Route, South Africa elopement - this was a spontaneous first dance the couple did on the beach during their portrait session and it captures the couple's personalities perfectly.

The couple's personality did not lean towards 'formal' or very posed bridal portraits. So we did what came naturally - this was a spontaneous first dance the couple did on the beach during their portrait session and it captures the couple's personalities perfectly.
