Maggie and Justin had a very intimate elopement ceremony near the Chalet du Montenvers in Chamonix, France. They started the day by getting ready at the Grand Hôtel des Alpes in Chamonix, where they also had their first look. We then headed to the train of the Montenvers for a beautiful ride up the mountains, and we hiked for a little bit.
After a beautiful afternoon, the clouds were slowly gathering on us, and we ended up being surrounded by fog. Their ceremony was like something from a Tim Burton movie. After a toast, we hiked back down to the chalet for a delicious meal.
I kept checking the weather outside as we wanted to take some photos under the stars, but there were clouds everywhere. After dessert, I went outside and the stars were brighter than ever, with no signs of clouds whatsoever. They skipped their dessert to meet me outside, where we headed to the sea of ice and watched the moon rise over the mountains as we took photos. We finished the evening by watching the stars over the glacier while listening to "Over the Rainbow." It was magical.
