When Mari and Gui began planning their wedding, they knew that they wanted to say their vows to one another on the beach. While they had envisioned a grand affair that included their family members and friends, the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to adjust and revise their plans — three different times. After postponing their wedding over and over again, they were ready to finally become husband and wife, when the governor of their state in Brazil banned all events once again.
Not wanting to delay their marriage any longer, this couple decided to have an intimate beachfront ceremony at the Pousada Reserva do Patacho. Once again, their hopes for their sunshine-filled wedding were dashed when the rain clouds arrived. However, resiliency is something that this couple has become accustomed to, and they moved forward with their wedding knowing that at the end of the day, they would be husband and wife. And that was enough for them.
