Barn Wedding Venue Portrait from Cambridgeshire, Bassmead Manor Barns created in the last light of day after their wedding, just as the sun begins to set
In this photo, the bride and groom stand together and hold one another in the last light of day after their wedding, just as the sun begins to set.
James and Lindsay’s wedding, originally set to take place in April 2020, was an event that the photographer, Rob Dodsworth, had a special personal connection to and had very much been looking forward to. He has photographed the wedding days of all three siblings in this family in 2016, 2018, and 2020, so this last wedding would be a bittersweet moment, marking the end of an era. Unfortunately, the wedding had to be postponed.
The postponement was touch and go at several points, but James and Lindsay dodged lockdowns and Bassmead Manor Barns played host to an intimate gathering of close friends and family in early December 2020.
However, despite all the restrictions and everything else that 2020 imposed on the world, Rob still found this day to be particularly special, saying that “this wedding was a ray of sunshine and reminded me why I have to keep going because I have a lot of love for this work and for the people it brings me into contact with.”
