  • The rest of the photographs in this category are all shot straightforward and are cake cutting and smearing shots and this one is the best of those because of the groom's emotion and the technical quality, which is nice.

2004 Winter Judges

  • What a fun moment. The photographer did a great job capturing the personality of this fun loving, easy going couple. I mean, take notice of the flip flop sandals that the bride is wearing. I think this photograph would have been even better if the groom's hand wasn't cropped off on the lower left corner of the frame. Everything is symmetrical with the composition except that for that little element. I also would have like to have seen a little more detail on the whites. It's blown out and a little distracting. But overall, a very fun moment.
