The day started at the home of the bride and groom. The groom got ready with the men, leaving the bride and her family the morning together to prepare for the wedding. It was a very warm day in the Netherlands. I think about 28 degrees Celcius. The groom came to the house to pick up the bride to head to the restaurant.
Due to the coronavirus, this wedding was set up very small, with no party, nor an extensive dinner. Only a few people were there, the family of the bride and groom, along with a best friend who officiated the ceremony. Because the groom's sister has a restaurant where they could also get married, there was still a possibility to continue the day.
This bridal couple planned to actually get married at the beginning of May 2020, but then it became impossible to do so in the Netherlands. As a result, they had to postpone their day to August 14, 2020.
They were very happy to get married on this day, and do intend to have a big party in 2021.
