After the ceremony, the bride and groom recede down the aisle. Guests throw rose petals as a symbol of showering the bride and groom with love. Flowers provided by LR Farm, Rosa Wyglendowski.

The historic Heritage House Resort and Spa on the Mendocino Coast is literally a Hollywood movie set of a cliffside inn with multiple, beautifully restored units over many acres with access to a Pacific Beach. The movie “Same Time Next Year” was filmed there, in 1978. The newlyweds were excited to take advantage of the picturesque inn with its dramatic cliffs, crashing waves, and an onsite waterfall and pond.

Dana and Thomas live and work in Washington D.C., but with a lot of their family in Northern California they chose the classic inn for its ability to accommodate their intimate wedding and to provide stellar North Coast dining.

They were appreciative of their time spent with their guests. The smaller size wedding facilitated closeness to everyone there.
