Wedding photographer Chaiyasith Junjuerdee, was awarded 3rd place for photo 1993701 in the Transportation category for the WPJA's 2017 Tri1 Photography Competition.
- Nicely done. I really feel the joy and movement in this photo. Good use of shallow depth of field to isolate the bride and groom.
- Why didn't I think of this for my own wedding? That's likely what many of you are thinking too. How is it that something as gracefully simple as a bicycle could escape our minds on such an important day when we're ALL about making delicious memories. Oh well. In the meantime let's blame our considered loss on this lovely image for reminding us how we once were. Oh, wait a moment…that's exactly how we were, blissfully unaware. Photography is a wonder.
The WPJA contest judges presented Chaiyasith Junjuerdee, a London, United Kingdom wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.
