The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.
- Nice job looking for photographs in other places. Beautiful color too. Would have been even stronger without the wide-angle distortion.
- I found this image to be interesting because of how it visually confronts us with a "surprise." Our eyes aren't accustomed to seeing a beautiful bouquet such as this sitting in a refrigerator. However because of the starkness of the scene - a rather forlornly empty fridge, and how compositional leading lines, particularly the fridge door at left and the man's hands grasping a small bag of apples at right, leave little chance that our eyes will wander from the visual exclamation mark of that beautiful bouquet. It makes for a fun play of our visual language.
