11th place in Mobile Devices
The WPJA contest judges presented Barbara Di Cretico, a Ascoli Piceno, Italy wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- The title in the photo is a good choice for the scene as every head leans right with the angle and that long green arm leads us to the groomʼs right leg and up and on to the coupleʼs faces. Even the arc of the stairs and the archway above add to this image as though the photographer was trying to gather everything possible to create the right mood and feel for the photo. The work paid off with a handily handsome and humorous image.
