  • While, admittedly, image juxtapositions like this are not entirely uncommon, it goes further to set (or tie) a record for all that have come before it. Nonetheless, to speak of the image before us, the mirroring of form rules the day through the similarities found in the rise and fall of the items of the table below and the detailed renderings of a throng of people above. See for yourself - draw an invisible line across the plethora of details on the table alone and then visually (in your mind) move the line you’ve “drawn” upwards to the painting. I see a charming juxtaposition of light and form. Perhaps you’ll see even more.
