They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

  • A nice original photo. The combination of silhouette and rim light on the couple is excellent. My only wish is that they had better expressions.
  • Regardless of the spectacular advancement of digital imagery and post-processing software in the last decade, we must still find the moment and how to compose and expose it for the end of clarified imagery we seek. This image is a beautiful example of how a wonderful moment might have been technically impossible to achieve by most many years ago is now within the realm of possibility. Whether that occurs or not is left to the eye and hands of a skilled photographer. Fortunately, here, we can experience the beautiful solitude of this image as a result.
