8th place in Groom Getting Ready
The WPJA contest judges presented Jianghui Feng, a China wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- Here’s an image we might otherwise hate if not for the unambigious levity brought us by the photographer. That horribly distracting wallpaper is the perfect side dish to the hilarity of a lamp planted dead center in the middle of a vanity mirror. “Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the most fairest of them all?” “I’m sorry sir for I haven’t a clue due to the lamp between me and you.” It’s a strange image from a strange moment set inside an even stranger scene. Kudos to all!
