7th place in Ceremony

Wedding photographer Tracey Taylor, was awarded 7th place for photo 1685206 in the Ceremony category for the WPJA's 2015 Q3 Photography Contest.

The WPJA contest judges presented Tracey Taylor, a Tokyo, Japan wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.

The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

  • Graphically pleasing image with clean composition and strong color palette. The timing was perfect.
  • Don’t you love the clean composition of this image? That outstretched arm couldn’t be more perfect, not only in form and structure but in the millisecond the rice is set loose from the outstretched hand. Images like this should inspire us to examine the visual simplicity that can be had through the oft-complex challenge posed by long lenses.
