2nd place in Details (Found)
The WPJA contest judges presented Pedro Cabrera, a Madrid, Spain wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- An unexpected surprise with the bride taking off her jeans; the contrast of fabrics; the angle; great, great job.
- The centered composition provides a necessary balance and a sense of symmetry to this lovely image of a bride (or bridesmaid) taking off a pair of jeans. This is a moment that is not only a delightful moment but also allows the viewer to ascribe greater meaning. For me, it is a juxtaposition “old” and new, a visual metamorphosis of the path from single to married, from one life to another. Her brunette hair falls in a mirrored contrast of the wispy folds of white tulle, further augmenting the scene.
