2nd place in Great Natural Light
The WPJA contest judges presented Jacob Hannah, a Vermont, United States wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- Beautiful light and great use of reflection. This photographer could make any bride feel ok about rain on her wedding day!
- I'm a sucker for the light found in an impending storm. These bridesmaids walking lockstep with the bride find themselves in that picture perfect light of an undulating storm. The water in the foreground lets us know that the storm has ebbed, for the moment - because the thunderclouds in the distance, a perfect backdrop for the scene, threaten. And such are things that, for this moment, the bride walks in the best light even if storms on the horizon threaten her day there is nothing as pure and free as the unfettered moment we live in.
