1st place in Details (Found)

Arezzo Tuscany bride gets carried out of the door by her groom - award winning wedding photography.

Wedding photographer Beatrice Moricci, was awarded 1st place for photo 1510146 in the Details (Found) category for the WPJA's 2014 Q3 Photography Contest.

The WPJA contest judges presented Beatrice Moricci, a Arezzo, Italy wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.

The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

  • This was by far my favorite category. In the details, was the story of a wedding. I got more from these details than some of the other images. In this case every pictures tells a story. Fabulous. The moment was extraordinary, the bouquet, the garter, the hands on the left, perfectly composed. Brilliant.
  • Wow! Now that is a detail! How fun to find a detail like this in the midst of making a fine image of a fun moment. The wind blows the bride's dress up just enough to reveal that traditional garter on one leg - situated respectfully at mid-thigh, ready to be removed at the reception by her new husband and sprung into the air much like she is in this moment both physically and... presumably, emotionally.
