6th place in Lit Portrait
The WPJA contest judges presented Rongfeng Ke, a Hong Kong S.A.R., China wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- This image is an episode of ebullient beauty. It simply looks and feels perfect in every respect. Even nature appears groomed for this portrait. The light speaks for itself...well, sort of. I spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out the light source until I decided that it didn't matter. The image resonates through light, location and the oh-so-right posture of the bride, who leans gently back into the groom’s arms. Delicious.
- This is a simple yet elegant image. The photographers composition, beautiful lighting and the vibrant color of the landscape makes this a great portrait.
