1st place in Other Vendors
The WPJA contest judges presented Dennis Berti, a Baja California, Mexico wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- The graphic nature of the photo and the storytelling quality made this my top pick. Great
- Love the silhouette and how the chairs mirror the palm trees. Perfect composition and body language.
- The back row of life, where a thankless job (a job you're probably thankful for) can make for some pretty rough days. But if only he knew how much I marveled at not only his strength but the skill he has learned to be able to carry eight chairs at once. I’ll never be able to carry just one chair to the table again. I love this simple image of a massive task seemingly made simple.
