1st place in Full Frame (Black and White)

Wedding photographer Christophe Viseux, was awarded 1st place for photo 1143716 in the Full Frame (Black and White) category for the WPJA's 2013 Q1 Contest.

The WPJA contest judges presented Christophe Viseux, a Ontario, Canada wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.

The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

  • Wonderful image of this family. From the elderly relative to the youngest child the focus is on the bride. The bride looks so regal and deep in thought. Very nice use of composition and angle. Nice to see the action from below.
  • The attendants and onlookers prepare a bride for a wedding. Each eye and gesture focused on the bride.
