15th place in Reflections
The WPJA contest judges presented Julie Kim, a London, United Kingdom wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

Photographer's Comment
I had kind of planned for this shot to happen. It was a gorgeous, sunny day which is not all that common in the UK so I wanted to make the most of the gifts this light was going to bring. Car exits and entrances are not always that graceful, so when I saw the bride and groom having a little toast I walked right up to the window, using my body to block some of reflection so I'd have a clear shot inside. The groomsmen outside support the scene.
