7th place in Action
The WPJA contest judges presented Everett Ayoubzadeh, a Minnesota, United States wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- YMCA? Praising the Lord? I'm not sure without a caption, but I'm sure its a great picture. The sea of arms and the one guy on the left of the frame just pops out with his mouth open wide. The disco balls mimic each other and add a cool graphic element. The color is sweet as are the people in the foggy background. Great moment AND scene setter. Many times it pays off to back away from your subjects.
