10th place in Ceremony
The WPJA contest judges presented Kay Meyer, a wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- A quiet moment of anticipation is captured in this picture. It's as if the bride just can't wait to get started. The tiny, little lean left by the bride makes the picture. You can almost see the anxiety on her face. Good job by the photographer in capturing this moment. Another great moment of the bride and her girls peeking out the window - you can feel their anticipation. Nice composition and light. Very sweet moment. The clock in shadow is a nice touch.
