11th place in Silhouettes / Shadows and Light
The WPJA contest judges presented Benjamin Rusnak, a Florida, United States wedding photographer, with this Master Piece Award as recognition for top wedding photojournalism in the industry.
The leading documentary wedding photographers in the world enter their best photos to the Wedding Photojournalist Association's photography competitions. They want their wedding reportage photographs to be evaluated and selected by some of the most notable and respected working picture editors and photojournalists in the news industry (these are not wedding photographers or other WPJA members judging their work). Winning these competitions is a true accomplishment for a wedding photographer.

- Many of the rest are just what the category title says, shadow and light, silhouettes and form, including this one. I like the angle, but I can tell you something I've wanted to say this whole judging. Unless the mural, sign, or graphic you're exploiting goes a long long way to help the picture, usually its hurting the picture. In only one case so far, and it's in this photograph did the graphic design of something, in this case the floor add to the photo. That, coupled with the color and form of the bride and groom made it a good crisp image.
