This is actually a homage to the first photo assignment I was given as an intern during my newspaper days back in 2008. The assignment was to photograph a pond. It was super boring, and my boss showed me how to look for elements to make the pond a more interesting composition, such as shooting past a branch at the top of the frame, exactly like this.
