Bio: Amy has recieved a Bachlors degree in Film with a minor in Photography. After working on a few independent films, she started shooting weddings and really developed a passion for the reality of it all. In 2000 she opened her photography business and found that her clientel really enjoyed her easy going personality, great attention to detail and her ability capture those real moments. In 2007 she was voted as one of the Top 10 Photographers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area on The Knot.
Bio: I got my first 35mm camera in 1964 and have been passionate about photography ever since. In 1978, my camera took a back seat to medical school, but the digital revolution has allowed me to refocus my passion. I've been shooting weddings since 2004 and two of my weddings will be featured in the 2007 book, Spectacular Weddings of Texas. In addition to weddings, I love to shoot fine art photographs. My work has been exhibited and sold in galleries in Austin and Dallas.
Bio: Wedding Photojournalist Mike Irvin draws upon 10 years spent covering news stories ranging form hard news, slice of life multiple picture feature stories and
portraits to provide his wedding clients a unique flashback of their wedding day.
While Mike does photograph the traditional posed group shots, it is the rest of the day spent capturing the moments as they happen that have his clients gasping and tearful.
Bio: Margaret Lake is an award-winning wedding photographer with a degree in Photojournalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She had her internship in Johannesburg, South Africa, and photographed then President Nelson Mandela. She shot her first wedding in 1992 and travels all over. Margaret has had her work published in several newspapers and magazines. She has been a longtime member of the WPJA and is the President of a local wedding professionals association. She has taught photography, mentored others, and has spoken at various events about photography.
Bio: Sandra Honea-Lemin is Based out of Dallas/ Ft. Worth, Texas. Sandra got her start working for over 10 years at various newspapers as a
staff photographer and over 6 years photographing weddings. Sandra has had several images on covers of wedding magazines and featured wedding stories. Her style is candid, documentary wedding photography.
Bio: Phil Holland maintains a century old family tradition of photography while shooting in an artistic and photojournalistic style. Early on, his photography began with an interest in nature photography. Today, he is thrilled be documenting people on one of the most important days of their life. Phil is happily married to a Dallas Police Officer and loves to travel.
Bio: Brett Butterstein is a traveling wedding photographer who creates unique documentary images of weddings. As a photojournalist, he has worked on assignment for such publications as The
New York Times, Washington Post and Outside Magazine.
Bio: While still in middle school, I began taking pictures of my friends and putting together albums. After I learned black and white printing in high school yearbook, my course was set.
For more than twenty years now, I have been photographing people. From the high school years of yearbook and the Johnston County newspaper in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, to my college days at the
University of Oklahoma student paper and then as a staff photographer for The Aspen Times in Colorado, I have been in love with photojournalism and particularly shooting weddings.
