Bio: Adrienne Maples is an internationally award-winning artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography from the Savannah College of Art & Design, one of the largest and most prestigious art schools in the country. Her work has been published in magazines, newspapers & shown in galleries throughout the country. Her nationwide demand is so great that she limits herself to 25 weddings annually.
...my stats show that the vast majority of my website traffic comes from WPJA! I appreciate what you do!

I LOVE WPJA -- I don't know where we'd be without it but I remember how much harder it was to explain "wedding photojournalism" without it. A strong percentage of inquiries I receive come from WPJA. Brides who go there already have a sense of what they want, which lessens the amount of "explaining" I have to do. The contests are so inspirational (although I don't envy the difficult task the judges have of picking the best from so many great entries!)
If you choose one of our WPJA Kansas wedding photojournalists
as your wedding photographer, please let them know you found
them through the Wedding Photojournalist Association.
The WPJA at a glance: The Wedding Photojournalist Association
puts the best Kansas wedding photographers at your fingertips,
by granting membership only to the most talented professional
wedding photographers in the world--photographers who focus solely
on using their documentary photography skills to capture the
moments of your wedding day.
Kansas sits in what is known as the Heartland of America and was named after the Kansas River and Kansa tribe who lived in that area. Kansas opens up the opportunity for fabulous wedding ceremonies and wedding photographs with its massive landscapes and throngs of billowing wheat fields. The capital of Kansas is Topeka, and its largest cities include Wichita and Kansas City, all of which make fantastic wedding destinations that your wedding photojournalist will thoroughly enjoy shooting. The towering silos, massive grain elevators, a vast farming expanse and the remains of the Wild West as depicted in Dodge City give Kansas a unique cultural feel that will make your wedding celebration a distinctive event. Vast panoramas of nature could provide possible prospects for creative shots that your wedding photographer will be able to shoot. Kansas provides unique wedding photography opportunities to choose from, including the wide open sky of the country side, or the city life found in the metropolitan area of Kansas City.
The Artistic Guild of the WPJA puts some of the best fine art wedding photographers at your fingertips! The AG takes the world-renowned artistic approach of WPJA wedding photojournalists to yet another level through post-production processing (usually Photoshop). AGWPJA photographers define artistic wedding photography!
BRIDES MAGAZINE & the Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly present a Wedding Photojournalism Contest.
The WPJA/BRIDES Wedding Photojournalism Contest spotlights the finest images from the best wedding photojournalists on the pages of one of the most world-renowned wedding publications and the web sites of the WPJA and BRIDES.
For most brides and grooms, wedding photojournalism is no longer a trendy alternative to traditional wedding day photo-coverage; rather, it is mainstream wedding photography. The WPJA has been leading the way in promoting and rewarding photographers who excel in capturing the un-styled and un-scripted moments of the wedding day. More and more couples are seeking out the top wedding photojournalists in the world through the WPJA web site.
