Bio: A graduate of Sheridan College's renowned Photography program, Cathy's photography has appeared in magazines and books throughout North America and around the Globe. Cathy has refined her photojournalistic style of shooting weddings into an artistic, candid recollection of the day. Her goal is to capture your day the way it actually happened. One of the most frequent comments from Cathy's clients is how her presence is more like having a friend there, than a photographer.
Bio: Danielle developed her style while working as a co-op student at the Toronto Sun, 10 years ago. She loved the fast-paced, exciting photography of the news world, but decided that she would much rather photograph people on the happiest day of their lives rather than people at war. She started Rabbat Photography in 2001, while finishing up photography at Sheridan College. She also has a Psychology degree from Guelph, which helps her understand her clients.
Danielle has been happily married since February, 2005 and gave birth to her awesome baby girl on Valentine's Day, 2008. Danielle enjoys improv (she has taken classes at Second City and will continue there), tennis, lindy-hop (swing) dancing and playing with her friends and family.
Bio: Karri North grew up in the rural routes of the Niagara Region, and now resides with her two children in downtown Toronto. As most of her family still dwells in Niagara, she has the pleasure of being able to work in the country as well as in the city---something that she feels keeps her ideas diverse.
Her interest in photography began as a preteen and has grown into the central passion of her adult life. Karri has taken her camera throughout Canada and the United States, to Asia, India and Europe; and in doing so, has compiled a significant body of travel photography and personal work. She began shooting wedding photographs in 1998, and found that her subjects were highly receptive to her photojournalistic, or ‘candid’ style.
While wedding photography remains her core line of work, Karri will always be exploring alternate avenues in the photographic field, be they personal or collabrative, artistic or commercial. She is ever interested in rising to new challenges to meet her clients standards, and her own personal vision.
Bio: Blair Gable is a trained photojournalist and has worked for many newspapers across Ontario over the last eight years. He recently served as a staff photographer for the Ottawa Sun. Photographing a wedding embodies everything that Blair loves about shooting for newspapers; the moments, the emotion, the action, the reaction and the portraits.

Bio: Since 1999, I have had the privilege of photographing weddings in the Grey/Bruce area, Collingwood, Toronto and most recently in the Muskoka's and the beautiful Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana. My photographic style is inspired by my passion for capturing life's real, unexpected and quirky moments in an unobtrusive, relaxed but elegant manner. I am a boutique-style photographer and only accept a limited amount of wedding commissions per year. I am actively booking Destination Weddings in Punta Cana, D.R.
...By the way, great job on the website. I've enjoyed being a part of it and the competitions are a good way of showcasing some really excellent work within a field that is often frowned upon by other photographers and keeps us always looking for something different in each wedding and not just doing the same old thing each time. It's been a good advertising tool for us too; we get quite a few inquiries through the site.
Over the past year of membership I've been pleasantly surprised at the amount of positivity that comes from my association with the WPJA. Not only am I drawing in clients who are truly interested in and appreciative of the art of photography, but I seem to gain both trust and prestige in the eyes of my clients/potential clients when I direct them to the WPJA website to explore the incredible images posted there.
I use the site for my own inspiration all the time.
Thank you WPJA and all you photographers that make it up!!
