JUDGES COMMENTS: The lighting here is very good. The blue of the sky makes you feel the cold. The photographer has properly caught the moment, and it’s the right moment because everyone in this picture could be an interesting picture on their own.

This one easily stood out in the category. Your eye goes from the bride (trying to keep warm) to the groom (carrying her bouquet) to the groomsman carrying the bridesmaid. Perfecto. On top of that the lighting at dusk gives the sky a deep blue adding to the coldness feeling of the photo.

The weather is miserable but the wedding party is adapting. The color is good and the photographer can definitely handle the camera well. The timing is good and he or she captured the good humor of the participants. The photographer anticipated the action and was prepared. I like photographers who think ahead.
