JUDGES COMMENTS: Raw energy, excitement, originality, emotion and overall fun. I am definitely in the room and feel all the emotions of the different people from the little girl in the foreground to the bride who is enjoying the moment to the woman smiling and primping the dress to the whole group of people in the back. This picture feels almost timeless in some ways and I love that because it could be someone getting ready for their wedding forty years ago or today or forty years from now. To me that's a successful photograph. Photographs must be felt and if you cannot feel the image then what's the point? You are simply recording what's in front of you, but this image takes it further. Bravo.
