JUDGES COMMENTS: This is a tremendous photograph. I love everything about it. The light is beautiful—It brings out the texture in the older woman’s hair, it catches a glint of light off of the earrings and the glasses. The composition is strong — the photographer has caught the older woman’s arms up while the bride’s are down, there’s just enough space on the left to balance the space above the bride’s head, the textures and patterns are terrific — I love the pattern of the women’s dress against the pattern of the wallpaper and the lace in the stockings, the moment is great - the fanning of the bride just as she has her hands in her stockings.
