Joe has been capturing weddings since 2009. A lifelong love of photography combined with the experience of starting his own family led Joe to see that wedding photography didn't have to fall into the cheesy stereotype, but could be an opportunity for visual storytelling, a chance to tell the story of a couple's wedding day.
Since that first wedding in 2009 -- when a friend called out of the blue after seeing photographs Joe had made of his first son -- he has photographed over forty and currently books around 18 weddings a year onto his calendar. In addition to awards from WPJA, Joe was recognized in 2013 as a winner in PDN magazine's "Top Knots" competition, which recognizes the next generation of wedding photographers.
Joe lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife and two sons and will soon be welcoming his first daughter.
Award Winning Photos
The Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Joe. The following awards have been earned by Joe from the WPJA. These achievements come with great merit considering the high level of competition that a member faces in the contests.
