Angela Varricchio born in Benevento, Italy, on 22 August 1979. In 2003 she took a Full-Honours Degree in Science of Communication at the University of Studies in Salerno, Italy, expouding a thesis about the photographic body persuasion of U.N.H.C.R., Medics Without Borders, Amnesty International, Unicef and F.A.O. social campaignes photographies. After having attended the Post-graduate Specialization in “Media Content Product Manager”, in 2005 she went to the Post-graduate Specialization in “Photojournalism” at I.S.F.C.I. , “Istituto Superiore di Fotografia e Comunicazione Integrata” in Rome, during which she attended workshops, held by the Magnum Photos photographers like Antoin D’Agata, Francesco Zizola, Patrick Zachmann and some freelances, Angelo Turetta, Letizia Battaglia and Franco Zecchin. After she attended workshops about photojournalism, held by the reporters Lina Pallotta and Morten Andersen. Since 2007 she has been working as freelance. Since 2011 she has been teaching “Reportage and naturalistic photography” and “Elements of basic photography”. In 2012 she was Senior photographer in “Senior meet Junior- Lecture of porfolio”, a national event organized by Tau Visual, Associazione Nazionale Fotografi Professionisti at Giu*Box Gallery, Napoli, in order to help young photographers to improve their skills.
