Her photographic style cleverly and effortlessly combines the distinctly natural and honest Anglo/American approach of seizing the moment to that of Italian photographers who favour perhaps a more structured, harmonious and portrait like one. With passion, discretion and a finely tuned eye for detail and story-telling she captures the very essence of that most special of days in terms of its characters, emotion and humour.

Giovanna Corti’s love of animals, especially dogs, has also fuelled an inspirational collaboration with ENPA (the Italian Society for the Protection of Animals). Her devotion has, for years now, translated itself into the photographic and graphic realization of ENPA’s calendar.

Last but not least, her love of diverse cultures and nature has led her to create stunning photographic documentaries as far afield as Africa, The Arabian Peninsula, America and Asia. Her main focus has been the people, their culture, traditions, and their ties to the land itself. The photo reportage dedicated to the Timkat celebration of Epiphany held in Ethiopia each January is but an example of the photographs taken of the native flora of Soqotra, a spellbinding island in the Indian Ocean.
