George Trifunovic
We know the difference between fashion and style... one is timely, the other timeless. Well photography too has its fashions and its followers... and those who choose to work in their own unique style.
George Trifunovic began photographing weddings in the mid-1980's and has since evolved a style that is reminiscent of the great documentary photographers, the likes of Willy Ronis, Andre Kertesz, Robert Doisneau and the great Henri Cartier-Bresson... these are all photographers who created timeless photos that define an era. Rather than relying on clever filters and bright lights, George prefers to capture the pure unadulterated moment and keep it that way.
Nowadays George is also well regarded internationally for his work as a photographer. His wedding photojournalism has won numerous awards at both the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) and the Australian Professional Photography Awards.
He is a Master of the Australian Professional Photography Institute and often judges and lectures on the subject in Australia and overseas.
