Farnaz Khodaifar

• Biography & Information

I have always been interested in the visual arts and knew that I wanted to work in a creative field from a young age. After high school I studied graphic design at the Fashion Institute of Design in Los Angeles before completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at the Art Center College of Design.

Shortly after college I moved to New York City where I have worked for over a decade as a fashion, advertising and editorial photographer. My work has been featured in multiple magazines both in the USA and Europe with agency representation on both continents. Read More...

I shoot a limited number of weddings each year. Weddings give me a chance to use the skills I’ve learned in fashion photography to produce images that I know will have meaning for each couple throughout their lifetime.

When shooting weddings I mainly try to find interesting and discrete vantage points from which to quietly catch the story of the day as it unfolds in front of me. I also think it’s a huge part of my job to make every bride look great and I really try hard to find the angles, lighting, and moments that show her at her best.
