We had already decided that we didn’t want a video cover, so the photography should be special or at least artistic. We didn’t want just someone to shoot photos. We wanted someone that will do a great job. We went through a lot of portfolio’s of well known photo studio’s in Thessaloniki. We have to admit that some of them had quite an impressive sample of work, but when we started calling them we realized that the person that has the studio was not the one that would come to cover our wedding. Usually photo studio’s work with a group of photographers that cover weddings or other events. This of course meant that it was not guaranteed that our photos would have the same quality as the ones we have viewed in their portfolio’s. Coming across your portfolio George it was a nice surprise because what you see in the portfolio is what you get. The second thing that impressed us is that you are actually a professional photojournalist. This meant to us that you didn’t only see the wedding as a job, but as an ongoing event from which you try to capture every moment, so when you look back on the photos you’ll be able to get a good feeling of how it was. The choice was made and we can now say with certainty that we are very pleased with both the co-operation and the result we’ve got after all. We appreciated the relationship that we had with you George on the day of our wedding. Apart from shooting the different phases of the wedding, you gave us tips and useful comments on how to go smoother through the whole procedure. You had the ability to just blend in and not be noticed. You never really positioned people, just gave them a gentle ‘nudge’ every now and then. And, for us perhaps most important, you were calm and able to find time for photo moments, in the always chaotic time of the wedding and its preparations.
