I delved into photography post graduation from the College of Charleston in 2007. With a B.A. in Religious Studies and a history of contributing to academic journalism publications through writing and photography, I wanted to find a career where I could merge my passion for all three. This led me to photojournalism, where I could pursue capturing the sacred narratives of people's lives. I also began photographing weddings, and my photojournalistic approach helped my visual perspective in capturing candid moments and emotive images of a couple's special day. Along with freelance work and weddings, I am currently working on a Master's Degree in Visual Communication with a concentration in Photojournalism and a cognate in Multimedia from Ohio University. Having completed my first year of the graduate program, I can see the evolution in my photographic perspective as well as learning other forms of media such as audio, video, and website development. This passion to constantly evolve and progress in my artistic skills will only help me become a better visual storyteller, which I can apply to journalism stories, commercial work, or weddings alike.

The Wedding Photojournalist Association proudly recognizes the accomplishments and creative excellence of Priscilla Thomas. The following awards have been earned by Priscilla from the WPJA.
